doubled my $BABA long here at 140ish (as an organic adopter of equity perpetual markets by TradeXYZ) Evening rant on this mid-sized bet. Included some things Im observing during my trip down this autistic rabbit hole: - BABA reversed 8% intraday after they giga missed on earnings. Share price was nuking, then the CEO said "agents" and the crowd went wild. Bounce. - i believe it bottomed in april and a narrative will form around local AI + Chinese AI specifically that sends this thing. - timeline: is 1-4 months. depends on the tides. - $BABA is a decent proxy for local AI and a great proxy for specifically chinese AI. its at the lows and the setup is good enough for papa to long baba. - Qwen3.6 Plus is pound for pound the best coding model. Ball knowers understand its a big step up compared to the previous stuff you could run on consumer GPUs. If you arent in the weeds with this shit you wont get it but I'll break it down futher. - Apple and NVDA consumer hardware are mostly sold out across the USA. Indy devs in basements everywhere are using local models. Its not on your timeline here (bc Grok) but local llm nerds are out in force on reddit. - In broader SWE twitter, I sense a shift in 2nd wave adopter types, admitting chinese models are "starting to get close". chinese models been close but most didnt have time to fuck around and find out like meee - Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI are giving you cheap inference because you are the training data. Most of your data is not worth much but at the enterprise level, data privacy is big ting folks care about. @jords Id like to think they shmoked summ exotic and said “bro do we even need LPs?” From reading the docs I think its novel/fair and with jez’ good will papertrade will do more volume at launch than most dexs that had 8-9 figure in funding. less is more baby. style points

your reaction to literally anything like this in crypto should be to approach it with an open and curious mind something new happening that captures a lot of attention is always worth looking at, even it it's just to keep your brain active my goal today/tomorrow is to try and understand what it is and form my own opinion of whether there's value to be found
