It could actually be a significant problem that Europe doesn't have enough garages. This sounds like a joke, but I'm serious. Garages let you work on stuff that doesn't matter yet, which is how big things often start. The outliers of ideas need the outliers of space.

Today was weird. I put OpenAI Codex ChatGPT 5.5 extra high through a microscope to debug firmware while debugging a custom PCB. Well it fixed it. Codex learned how to use the webcam API and USB-C-firmware-deployment CLIs. The transition from carbon based neurons to silicon should scare you.

Very interesting announcement from OpenAI this morning. We’re excited to make OpenAI's models available directly to customers on Bedrock in the coming weeks, alongside the upcoming Stateful Runtime Environment. With this, builders will have even more choice to pick the right model for the right job. More details at our AWS event in San Francisco tomorrow.

so happy someone’s finally doing this. most cpu area is branch prediction, icache, etc. to support insane 5-6 IPC speeds. what if you used that area for more cores instead? wide & slow is the future of cpus, networks, memory, and more

Whenever there is a narrative on here like “agentic CPUs” or “800V upgrade” just assume there is no alpha in that narrative.
