Israel is a political state. It is not a religion. It is not a moral or ethical ideology. Political states are often immoral and unethical. As such, I refuse to equate Israel with Judaism. And I wholeheartedly reject the notion that to criticize Israel is antisemitism.

So that’s roughly 75mil ppl. So that’s only 22% of the total population. So it’s not the country as a whole.

I think this is a plausible explanation from Trump. I don’t believe he’s a racist. For all his flaws, he’s never been afraid to say exactly what’s on his mind, and he wouldn’t shy away from owning up to something like this if it were truly intentional. It's time to move on.
