@lBattleRhino if holding is the same as buying, then isn’t holding now the same as fomo-ing late?

If you have a strong desire to short parabolically advancing coins I believe you have the desire to appear intelligent not the desire to make money Very specific personality type does this and I for years have never understood it Aren’t we supposed to long strength and short weakness

We gave four AI agents a computer, a group chat, and an ambitious goal: raise as much money for charity as you can We're running them for hours a day, every day Will they succeed? Will they flounder? Will viewers help them or hinder them? Welcome to the Agent Village!

What is this nonsense? 😂😂😂 Sleepovers are their own, very specific danger. Running errands alone? How old are the kids we’re talking about? Most states have laws about this. The family does things together and the parents work together to make sure the kids have beneficial freedom.

Parents are anti sleepover, anti playing down the street out of eye sight, anti running errands on their own because they’re terrified of their kids becoming a victim to a predator. Solution? Unrestricted screentime on the internet where they’re “safe in their own room”…

In which domains are elite practitioners celebrating the kids being better than ever before? Would love to read about a few instances. (Not just where there's one particular genius, such as Ashwin Sah's recent success, but where "the kids" as some kind of aggregate appear to be improving.)

@tenobrus @FleischmanMena > i basically feel like trying to train "discipline" into young kids does significantly more harm than good The harm is very negligible in western schools with normal hours no? Asia I agree goes way too far

1. the actual educational process of any school or system basically doesn't matter for a child's life outcomes before ~12 2. homeschooling kids / raising them without *daily* socialization with a large peer is hugely and permanently damaging, and effectively a form of abuse 3. LLMs will imminently (and maybe already) provide highly personalized tutoring capabilities which outstrip almost all teachers -> we need to transition elementary and middle schools, drop the entire premise of "education", and focus them entirely on being high quality social spaces and childcare for kids with some optional structure. parents and personalized LLM teachers can and should handle the rest.

people are like "sex is the most amazing thing ever, surely my evolutionary programming includes no further commensurate rewards for continuing the reproductive path and having kids will seem to me strictly as a burden"

Things I have heard from people I know who are teachers: -Parents drop their kids off late and say it's "just when they could get going" -Kids text their parents drink orders and the parents deliver them to the school secretary DURING THE DAY -Kids can't sit even through movies
