Two weeks ago in Ukraine, I was able to visit an underground metro school, a UNICEF-run Spilno Child Spot (center for play), and a youth center, all of which are promoting children's undeniable right to education and mental health support. While @UNICEF_UA and partners must be commended for their tireless efforts to protect children, we must not normalize a highly abnormal situation. Children everywhere deserve to study above ground and play outside without fear for their lives.
