Every day I’m trading velocity for comprehension debt.

In the last month all the code for one of my revenue generating projects has been 100% written by codex 5.3. I open up a terminal on my phone and ssh to the mac mini on the shelf, tmux attach, tell it my shower thoughts, and it gives me a plan. I say yeah that looks good pls build it, and it cranks away at the code. I simply don’t have the bandwidth to approve all the code it’s writing and I’ve become wildly comfortable with this, so I just ask for a summary at the end. We go through 2-3 rounds of code review by various models, then depending on the risk involved I may not even look at the code. I tell it to push it and that’s it. In theory I will probably understand the code when I read it but there are entire files I have never opened. I don’t do this at work (because I don’t want to get fired) so the plan review is much much more thorough, and I read 100% of all the code written. Unfortunately as you can imagine I’m a huge bottleneck.
