I read this as an admission that something is fundamentally wrong with GPT-5.6, and that the claim that GPT-5.6 uses significantly more tokens than GPT-5.5 is not based on purely anecdotal evidence.

Don't get me wrong. It’s not fundamentally flawed in the sense of being a bad model, but rather fundamentally flawed in terms of reasoning or token usage.

Hard to justify a Claude sub when GPT-5.6-sol matches Fable 5 output at a fraction of the price, with no availability caps. It's always live within your plan, and the guardrails work without blocking legitimate work.

@ImLunaHey idk your usecase but ive been on $20 CodexGPT plan since December. I ran a /goal with Sol Ultra and although i get literally 2 prompts before resetting, it WORKS hard and GOOD. like genuinely. if it spawns no subagents either it mows down
