If you read this and play #CS2 with "Nvidia Reflex" ON please try turning it off. The game feels way smoother and the framedrops are gone.

The CS2 Ingame FPS limiter has improved when used with reflex . It works best upto 400 fps max ingame cap. Anything above that and you are better off uncapped. This should give you better temps, less load on gpu and around 1ms more input lag vs uncapped. Hope this helps.

Record a video with CS2 set to 1080p Very High Settings on a 400 hz monitor without any cuts. Tag me. These are the stats, I can produce on video when my PC is optimised(without stripping OS of it's usecase) at very high settings 1080p. Stop talking. Start giving proof.

Tested out CS2 with and without my launch options and here are the results: I am not 100% sure which one of these launch options does much, if anything at all but these are the options I found over the last few months that had a noticeable impact on my fps. -novid -high +fps_max 0 -nojoy +r_dynamic 0 +violence_hblood 0 -tickrate 128 +mat_queue_mode 2 -d3d9ex -noreflex +cl_forcepreload 1 -engine_low_latency_sleep_after_client_tick true -no-browser -Threads 12 +mat_disable+fancy_blending 1 -softparticlesdefaultoff (The fps values are the lowest I got with each setup, so launch options fixed massive fps dips)

7900x3d, 5070 ti 2x msaa 1920 * 1080 D2 Benchmark Map

On modern GPUs, anisotropic filtering barely affects CS2 performance even 16x is 1% slower than bilinear. On older or low end GPUs with weak TMUs or bandwidth, it can slightly raise frametime and input latency if texture load is high. Ambient occlusion hits performance harder.

Well, this is my official retirement post: As always, it's never been about me; it's about the players. So, I chose this moment—when it truly matters—to share everything on my mind. It breaks my heart to read these LFT posts from the IGNITE team. This team was built around the concept of what a long-term project should look like. We started from nothing, yet we proved that it’s possible to create a professional environment for talented players with a clear identity, making our way step-by-step to the top. Every step was part of the plan, and I still have the first email outlining our objectives. We nailed it, except for the world championship qualification in this third split. We were so close, but resources… resources… Trust, belief, and a lot of care and friendship made this journey possible. This story should demonstrate that the backbone of IGNITE’s success was in believing in one another through a shared vision. Every player mattered equally, and we maintained our human connections through all the tough times, always respecting the rules we’d agreed upon. Once a rule was broken and not mended, we couldn’t go on. It was as simple as that. It pains me because we’ve built a home, a family, and now they’re leaving to embark on new paths. But that’s life, right? You grow up and eventually leave home to explore new adventures. I wish them all the best and hope that another team will embrace our mojo, refine our model, and IGNITE the scene, just as we surprised everyone by being among the top every split with our limited resources. I love IGNITE, and it will forever live in my heart. This message marks my competitive retirement as I shift towards a different role in supporting the scene.
