Once again, the dangerous politics of a hateful few have burned through social media. Yet these rhetorics and witch hunts will never change the facts: Trans women are women, and trans men are men. Gender fluidity and similar concepts have existed for as long as human societies have existed. The current hostility being promoted, primarily in the United States, acts as a manufactured distraction from real societal problems. The so-called culture wars are largely built on fabricated outrage used to demonize and ostracize vulnerable groups. The people leading this fight have never cared for women; in fact, many of them hold misogynistic views. Social media in general is a farce, and these campaigns are often driven by people seeking personal gain. “We can always tell,” can you though? These people will look at a woman’s physique and dictate if they are “real” or not, claiming to fight for “their cause.” Get out of your echo chambers and take a moment to understand that the hateful ideas pushed to you on social media are nothing but lies. The women being harassed simply want to live and have a place to play in a society already much too cruel to them. Learn some basic human empathy. As always, full support not only to @SKGamingLeague, but also to all women—c1s or trans—who have to deal with the bullshit of these self-appointed, falsely virtuous groups.

The weird part about the whole trans people in GC debate is that nobody talks to high level GC players about stuff like this. It might be my bubble here, but close to 100% of my personal contacts in the scene never spoke ill of trans people competing in the space.
