Note to venues. Last night I played a gig at a small theatre. As usual, people had emailed in pressuring them not to allow me to play. As usual it stressed the venue. The venue then contacted me saying they were worried about a backlash (from the liberal left I should add, y’know, the good guys). The gig was in danger of not going ahead. There were several back and forth emails. I explained that my show contains zero politics and I don’t even swear adding that I have never told a racist joke and never would. The show was sold out. The show went ahead. The show was great. The night ended with the theatre management asking me if it could be a regular event. Maybe theatres should just ignore the haters who troll venues like they ultimately did. The people who do this venue trolling are hateful, spiteful basement dwellers. Every time a venue caves into them, they are making the world a more hateful, spiteful place. Don’t allow this handful of people roll us back into darkness.

@Markmaycott2 @thecoastguy We have had hardly any flu since Covid due to social distancing, handwashing masks etc - I'm not sure why jcvi didn't advise vaccinating healthy 50yo and over - they surely must have known following last years increase there was a chance we were going to have increased numbers?

@NSTPsychiatry @Shiwon_NZ_Ao @anaesthetic_spr I did my acls many years ago as I worked in ccu - and no not everyone passed the course, infact the pass rate was not particularly high for DR's or Nurses.

The most screwed careers in the UK are emergency medicine and GP. Any healthcare professional can do it with as little as a 2-year course (physios, PAs, paramedics, nurses). Change my mind.

@nursemicheller @anaesthetic_spr Yes you gain massive experience, *in that area, with those specific patients*. Dr's are trained to be more holistic with a broad knowledge base from the get go.

I found the most boastful nurse/ANP of 2025: ➖ the nurses set the game not the St4 (senior registrar) who is clueless ➖ Apparently can prescribe the whole BNF ➖ I can do it all, prescribing, chairing mot meetings etc don't need to be a Dr to do that! ➖ Nurses running the place, and doing good job! St4 wetting pants

Wes Streeting has failed to negotiate on pay or jobs. We are again left with no choice but to strike. We will strike between 07:00 Wednesday 17th December and 06:59 Monday 22nd December. This will be a full walkout.

If you'd checked your facts before this racist dogwhistle, you'd know that every NHS doctor can speak English - as proven by their IELTS proficiency (look it up... or are you just a populist hatemonger for whom facts don't matter?).
