I'm failing to understand all the hype around @paper Design to code directly with shader magic (shader magic is super cool) but ... can't @figma's mcp server do the same with near perfect accuracy. trying to be not biased and understand the pros and cons of each.

I’ve been in meetings where this kind of thing was always framed as “engineering vs business”. Engineers push back against this “borderline” sales message, sales/marketing push for it. The business side always won because “growth” is more important than anything else I’d like to believe that there were engineers at revolut pushing back against this (or maybe they didn’t even know about these notifications). Either way, it’s really bad practice

I don’t have notifications on for many apps: it’s only for the very few that never abuse them. Some marketing or growth hacking person at Revolut has now achieved me turning off all Revolut notifications, after sending what I consider spam. Non actionable, just plain junk.

@GergelyOrosz And IMO, code red doesn’t mean anything if they don’t have a proper AI strategy. They are just playing catchup at this point with their own products, instead of actually setting the standards

Microsoft doesn’t have a proper AI strategy (at all). The best they did was to rebrand Office to MS Copilot and report a huge increase in copilot adoption (probably to look good for shareholders) You can’t expect them to build anything meaningful if their entire “strategy” is to force copilot into every little part of the OS (even where users don’t want it)

How did Anthropic ship a desktop app to work with Excel and PowerPoint in an agentic way before Microsoft did?? (FWIW hearing Microsoft has code red because of Claude Cowork - they know they should have shipped something like this first. Still have no response but working on it)

@m_zokov Pre-AI I thought it was easier to use a 3rd party to cover all the auth flows without writing LOTS of boilerplate But now, it’s actually easier to write auth flows for your specific use cases with AI (and you’re not depending on any 3rd party anymore)

@nwbotha I’ve always been annoyed by the idea of having all your customers in a 3rd party… plenty of self-hosted options. I’m building myself a boilerplate that I may productize somehow

daily reminder - roll your own auth don’t outsource the most critical part of your app to a 3rd party

🛠️ I made a mini Github in Jean, so I don't need to open it at all. I can read any issues/prs, already transfer context from them to a local agent, even from multiple at a time. I really like opinionated stuffs.

We’ve raised $100M at a $1.5B valuation. We built Render to give developers an intuitive path to reliable and scalable cloud infrastructure. Now, we are bringing that same philosophy to long-running, stateful infrastructure for AI apps & agents. 🧵

it's amazing how fast computers can be without all the bloatware I'm running Omarchy, with 4 opencode terminals, many github tabs, cursor, slack and everything is amazingly fast on a small beelink box (24gb ram and 512 ssd) the same setup on my mac (same specs) is quite slow and the beelink box is a 5th of the price 🤯

What's the easiest way to convert OpenAPI schema to mcp server right now? Preferably with CLI + code (use with Claude Code for example).
