The Lightning Network is the best method of transacting in the entire crypto ecosystem. Period. It is the fastest and cheapest method. We’re in another wave of the FUD about ‘Lightning is dead’. We’ll be publishing a report soon that shows this is entirely false, with the data to prove it. This comes up often because the important metrics of Lightning are inherently private (tx volume, tx count, speed, fee rates). Lightning is the most used L2 on Bitcoin and almost all new ‘L2s’ are figuring out ways to integrate it for interoperability. There could always be enhancements to a protocol to make it better, but that doesn’t detract from it’s success in the current form.
While everyone else is chasing new L2s, fake self-custody, and hype trains, us at @voltage_cloud are doubling down on Lightning. We’re working on a lot of new stuff that’s going to continue to push the network forward. We’re striving to make big impacts for our customers and creating experiences that are truly better than the TradFi alternatives, not sharing empty press releases. Lightning and Voltage will continue to grow because of the impact it has for users. No BS, just real business impact.
