Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has been too vocal in criticizing President William Ruto’s administration, yet Kenyans have not forgotten what characterized his own 10-year tenure and why many rejected his leadership in 2022. Raila Odinga did not lose the 2022 election because Kenyans did not love or support him, but because many voters wanted to send a strong message to Uhuru Kenyatta and his administration, as they felt he would mislead Raila. The former president should understand that we respect him as our retired Head of State. While he claims that he advised us and we failed to listen, it is ultimately up to us to decide. The honorable thing for him to do is to give President Ruto space to work for Kenyans. Uhuru should learn from Daniel arap Moi and Mwai Kibaki. Moi handed over power to Kibaki and kept quiet; Kibaki did the same after leaving office. Uhuru should now extend the same courtesy to President Ruto. If Uhuru fails to stop attacking President Ruto, it may force some of us to expose all the negative things that characterized his government.

Uhuru has vindicated my position that he still 'actively ' in politics and not retired in politics he should be handled politically . Uhuru regime was one of the worst in Post-colonial era in kenya that was renown for poor governance, corruption, extra judicial killings and spiralling public debt from 2Trillion to 10trilliion kenya shillings. Since CS Aden Duale took over the Ministry of Health, there have been no more strikes by doctors. There is no more MAFYA scandal like what we witnessed during the Jubilee government. SHA is paying bills for all Kenyans equally, unlike NHIF, which had become a cash cow for Mt. Kenya cartels. That’s a fact some people are not comfortable with.

Uhuru Kenyatta told Kalenjins in 2013 “yangu kumi, Ruto kumi.” They trusted him, voted twice, and delivered power. The moment Uhuru secured those votes, he disappeared from Rift Valley, turned around, and suddenly told the nation that Ruto—his own Deputy—was “someone he knows well and not good.” If he was not good, why did you choose him as DP? Or was he only “good” when he was delivering votes? Fast-forward to today: Ruto has been President for just three years, and the man who retired peacefully after borrowing trillions suddenly wakes up claiming to support Luos and preaching reform. What happened to the deal you promised Kalenjins? Mt. Kenya people are told 2022 votes were decisive—and yes, they were. But let’s not pretend Rift Valley didn’t give Uhuru power twice before that. And for the record, even when Ruto removed Rigathi Gachagua, he didn’t sideline Mt. Kenya—he appointed Kindiki, another Kikuyu. So spare us the selective outrage.
