@miles_commodore My mom's side of the family has only been in the country about 125 years. Yet, no one has ever referred to me as a Swedish-American or a Norwegian-American.

Why am I referenced as an African-American? I hate that! My ancestors go back well over 200 years in this country. That's much longer than most other Americans. Do we call them British or Irish Americans? The term is dumb and I'm not a fan of it. I’m American!

This is the Mall of America in Minneapolis. You know, @timwalz’s Minneapolis. When I was a Delta pilot, I used to layover in Minneapolis a lot. I visited the Mall of America a few years ago. I’d heard about it and had lots of time to kill so I headed out. I felt like I was back in Mogadishu in 1993. It was Black Hawk Down all over again. It’s a third world hell hole. We get health insurance through the MN state marketplace and had a recent change to report. Today we received THREE letters all dated 3/17, basically telling us the same thing! No wonder there is so much waste, fraud & abuse in Minnesota alone.

The week between my daughter's wedding (March 8) and reception (March 15), people started freaking out & she had poor turnout at the receptions. Restaurants & other small businesses started closing in MN on March 17. My birthday on March 24 sucked because we couldn't go out anywhere.

Covid shut down the world six years ago this week. What do you remember from that time?

@JayKey63211790 @Geniustechw Mine are grown now, but I left restaurants and grocery stores more than once when they weren't behaving. Not everyone else's problem.

@Geniustechw You know, I have young children and I don’t think it is a stretch to ask for ‘properly attended to children’. If my 2 year old ‘acts the fool’ (as I say) my wife or I gently remove him from the restaurant until he can regain his composure.

What does everyone think about this?
