What a beautiful morning in the garden! Finally, in the sunshine, 21°C, birds singing, heaven. I got busy weeding and tidying the front beds, getting everything ready for planting soon. It felt brilliant being out there with the warmth on my back and everything starting to look hopeful for spring.
I asked Chris to join me in the fresh air, but she was happy inside watching her morning programme on the telly. It was a shame not to share it, but that’s how it is now . She was content in her own way, and I popped in to check on her a couple of times.

Spring equinox this morning, said Grey Brock to Miss Rabbit over the garden wall, fur starred with plum blossom. And he spoke, they felt the great green swooping feathery rush of life around them; the sweet, soft air and the young fierce nettles in the hedgerows ready for soup and tonics and tea, and the golden celandines in the woods and the tangled swirls of nests in the elm trees and rows of hot cross buns in the window of Fernby's and pink and purple and gold foiled Easter eggs in the everything shop, and the lovely loud ludic sound of the village school down by the watercress beds, where the herons guard the river and the willow boughs trail in the dark glassy water.

In the Victorian language of flowers magnolia symbolises fortitude, a love of nature, and magnificence. In folk magic, it is said to guard true love and fidelity. A branch placed near or beneath the bed was believed to keep both partners faithful to one another. #FolkloreThursday

@Guggenheim Love Juan Pablo's thoughts about the Guggenheim and the painting!

As an architect on my first trip to New York City, it was essential to experience this classic work of modern and rationalist architecture by Frank Lloyd Wright and to make my own interpretation of it. The first impression is of a work that generates urbanism, volumetrically breaking with established morphologies; the sculptural form is not capricious; it accompanies functionality.
The second impression, and perhaps the most important, is of a museum whose first work of art one encounters is the building itself, which embraces and contains the rest of the works.
Its rampant functional layout allows you to explore the entire museum in a very natural way, filtered by its excellent natural lighting... a divine experience.- Juan Pablo @jp_germade
