@ysiu is the founder of Animoca Brands which owns Sandbox and published CryptoKitties back in 2018. His recent interview with a major Korean financial youtube channel is full of GEMs. I doubt the interview will reach western media so wanted to summarize key topics in a thread👇

What Subnets to Invest In 2026?📈 2026 is shaping up to be an extremely exciting year for $TAO subnets. In my view, now is one of the best times to enter subnets. Why I think subnets offer better asymmetric bet than root in the coming months: ‣ Subnets are shipping real, usable products (e.g., Score and Ridges beta launches in March/April) ‣ Subnets are generating tangible revenue (e.g., Chutes at ~$6M annualized run rate as of early 2026) ‣ General crypto accounts are increasingly noticing $TAO, and larger VC and TradFi players are recognizing the importance of decentralized AI (e.g., Stillcore Capital’s recent thesis, @Jason having a dedicated space on $TAO in front of his 1.1M followers, institutional staking flows surging) ‣ As evidence of this shift, the % of TAO locked in subnets has steadily climbed and now sits at ~19% The most important question is: which subnets to choose? This answer will vary depending on your risk appetite. If you are looking for lower-risk, more conservative exposure (ideal for new entrants or larger positions where capital preservation matters), I would look into more established subnets in top 10-15. Some of my favorites are: ‣ SN64 @chutes_ai: serverless AI inference cloud (cheapest, fastest LLM access) ‣ SN44 @webuildscore: computer vision for sports and real-world monitoring ‣ SN62 @ridges_ai: autonomous coding agents (SWE-Bench leader) ‣ SN120 Affine: decentralized network for advanced reasoning model development ‣ SN3 @tplr_ai: distributed open-source AI training ‣ SN8 @VantaSN8: decentralized leveraged trading on TAO/alphas ‣ SN9 Iota @MacrocosmosAI: large-scale LLM pre-training If you’re more experienced with subnets and comfortable with higher risk/reward, lower-cap plays can deliver much higher returns. Some of my favorites in this category (in numerical order): ‣ SN2 DSperse @inference_labs: Proof-of-Inference (zkML) for verifiable AI agent execution ‣ SN6 @numinous_ai: Decentralized forecasting by aggregating AI agents into superhuman LLM forecasters ‣ SN24 @QuasarModels: Long-context LLM subnet for massive memory & coherence ‣ SN46 @resilabsai: Decentralized real-estate data oracle ‣ SN50 @SynthdataCo: Predictive intelligence for financial markets ‣ SN58 @handshake_58: Trustless micropayments for autonomous AI agents ‣ SN59 @babelbit: Real-time multilingual translation ‣ SN60 @bitsecai: Decentralized AI-powered security auditing ‣ SN63 @qBitTensorLabs: Quantum-inspired ML and IP/patents for advanced compute ‣ SN75 @hippius_subnet: Blockchain-backed cloud storage, VMs, and apps ‣ SN71 @LeadpoetAI: Decentralized sales intelligence engine ‣ SN85 @vidaio_: High-efficiency video compression and upscaling ‣ SN82 @HermesSubnet: Real-time on-chain data querying for blockchain-native AI ‣ SN88 @Investing88ai: AI-driven investing strategies and portfolio tools ‣ SN103 @djinn_gg: Decentralized coordination for market insight and execution These are some of the subnets where I expect future demand to rise consistently. But higher risk also means higher chance of loss, so I highly recommend you only allocate what you can afford to lose, and always do your own research. The timing feels ripe. Markets are quiet, crypto is dead, wars rage on; yet many subnets aren’t even flinching against $TAO. In fact, many of them are thriving. When you see that kind of resilience amidst sea of red, you know you’re looking at something special. Betting on $TAO isn’t about hoping numbers go up. It’s betting that decentralized AI will claim a meaningful share of the intelligence market reshaping every industry. I come from crypto and this is my third cycle. I’ve made some, lost far more. Most were trading plays, some were investments. And rarely there comes along an opportunity of a life time. For me, the first was Bitcoin. Bittensor is the second. I’m making sure I seize this opportunity. If you see the same opportunity in Bittensor, I hope you seize it too.

This is interesting. Most blockchain data is sitting idle. Trillions of dollars in on-chain activity (prices, transactions, wallets, DeFi states, governance votes) are generated every year, but AI agents can't reliably access or act on it in real time. @HermesSubnet SN82 solves this by creating specialized AI agents that: ‣ Query blockchain data instantly and accurately ‣ Deliver verifiable, fast, correct answers without hallucinations or delays ‣ Get scored by validators on speed/reliability → best ones earn $TAO This turns wasted on-chain data into a usable, trustless resource, unlocking the real agent economy. Not sure how feasible this really is, but def an interesting idea.
Angry Davee@AngryDavee

Bittensor | $TAO Just finished up my research on subnet 82 | @HermesSubnet and it's definitely one of those usecases that could easily sell Definitely not a bad one to add to my bags Let me explain it as simply as I can Hermes is about making blockchain data usable for AI, fast, cheap, and accurate Right now, blockchains have tons of valuable data (prices, transactions, wallets, governance, DeFi activity), but AI agents are bad at accessing it If you doubt it, try chatgpt and see The truth is: > On-chain data lives behind GraphQL APIs > LLMs are slow and expensive when you ask them live blockchain questions > Results are often outdated or wrong So AI can talk about crypto, but it can’t reliably read or act on real blockchain data in real time What Hermes does is, it creates specialized AI agents whose only job is to > query blockchain data via GraphQL > understand it correctly > return fast, accurate answers > and eventually act on it (for agents, bots, apps) So instead of one big general AI trying to do everything, Hermes uses many agents, and Bittensor rewards the ones that perform best Miners build and run these GraphQL-AI agents, validators test them for speed, accuracy, and reliability The best agents earn rewards Like this can actually power trading bots and assistants, even help DAOs, DeFi apps, and analytics tools I say alot of ways to make good revenue from a project like this I mean It’s already live, open-source GraphQL agent exists, works with SubQuery/Subgraph and has LLM-agnostic You truly can find everything on Bittensor 😁

My Bittensor 2026 prediction is... By now, many sharp minds have shared their 2026 theses: $TAO to thousands, a handful of subnets breaking out with escape velocity. My take is a little different, focusing on how things will play out globally, especially in East Asia (China, Japan, Korea), the largest crypto market on the planet. China🇨🇳 – the sleeping giant ‣ China remains the world's largest crypto market by trading volume (often $10B+ daily across major exchanges, far ahead of the US). $TAO is listed only on Binance and OKX. No major local platforms like Huobi or Gate.io yet. Awareness is low; most traders are still chasing memecoins or established alts. ‣ For examaple, remember how crazy hype around Bitcoin ordinals were, when Chinese grandmas and grandpas were taking classes to buy them online? This level of interest has not trickled down to $TAO at all. ‣ But momentum is quietly building. @CryptoZPunisher has been grinding with Chinese Bittensor accounts to raise awareness, and @Yizhiyangfund joined as admin on the Telegram group Punisher helped build. @Yizhiyangfund already has over 1,000 followers on X, spreading $TAO to the Chinese audience. ‣ I doubt there will be major headlines covering subnets anytime soon in China, but words will spread fast. When few subnets breakout, and we have a $TAO season, Chinese investors will quickly notice (as they always do). South Korea🇰🇷 – the degen powerhouse ‣ South Korea is the second largest crypto market despite its small size. Daily volume often hits billions, and ~30% of the population holds crypto. Degeneracy is real here. But $TAO is only listed on Bithumb, and even this happened only months ago. No Upbit, no other big players yet. Interest is extremely low. No major Korean CT accounts talk about $TAO, let alone subnets. ‣ But once we see breakout subnets like @webuildscore with real clients or @ridges_ai that has reached SOTA in multiple benchmarks, we will start to see the beginning of $TAO season. And when Koreans see $TAO pumping 5-10x, Korean traders will have no choice but to pay attention. ‣ Crypto is one of the only ways for younger generations to move up the social and economic ladder, and that gap is wider than ever as you saw in Squid Game. Because of this, crypto is often looked down upon as gambling. But when these Korean degens learn about subnets delivering real value, with performance at par or better than centralized incumbents like Google, Amazon, Claude at 1/10th of the cost, with market cap under $20M for many, their perception will quickly change. ‣ Kimchi premium will hit hard, and it will happen fast. That’s when the genie gets out of the bottle. Japan🇯🇵 – quiet but steady ‣ While Japan tends to be more conservative, crypto adoption is high (regulated exchanges like bitFlyer and Coincheck), and Japanese investors love tech with real utility. ‣ $TAO isn’t listed on major local platforms yet, but Japan has a long history of embracing innovative technology early. Look at how quickly they built compliant infrastructure for Bitcoin ETFs and stablecoins. When Bittensor’s decentralized AI story spreads, expect patient, long-term capital to flow in, similar to how they adopted Bitcoin and Ethereum. Global perspective🌐 East Asia alone accounts for over 50% of global crypto trading volume. China + Korea + Japan often dominate daily flows. But we need these capital to flow into subnets for $TAO to reach next level. And subnets like @Bitcast_network is already pushing global reach, with viewers in 41 countries and in 7 languages, with even bigger expansion planned for 2026. As that awareness spreads across continents, more eyes will turn to Bittensor. That wider adoption is what could ignite the momentum to push $TAO north of $2000 during the next alt season. Broader crypto markets will follow, with AI tokens leading the next rotation, outperforming memecoins, as institutional money rotates into decentralized AI infrastructure. 2026 will be the year the world finally wakes up to Bittensor. And I’m beyond excited to watch it unfold. May 2026 be the best year for Bittensor🙏

Easily the best thing I've read this week. Below is a quick summary I put together👇 ‣ Companies thrive when it's too costly or messy to coordinate transactions. When those costs crash (and they do with technology), markets replace companies ‣ Markets beat monopolies long term, not because of morality, but because of incentives ‣ History rhymes: open beats closed, markets beat monopolies, decentralization beats centralization, when the economics line up. And they do eventually ‣ Betting on Bittensor isn’t just hoping for numbers to go up. It’s betting decentralized AI grabs a meaningful slice of the $300B+ AI market ‣ Nobody outside our bubble sees this opportunity yet: "Crypto people see speculation. AI people [only] see technology. Economists see nothing." ‣ Every big tech shift is comprised of 4 phases: ridicule → skepticism → acceptance → inevitability. We are at phase 1/2, meaning we are still incredibly early. My favorite line from the article: "When transaction costs fall, markets replace firms. When coordination costs fall, decentralization beats centralization. When economic incentives align, open beats closed." That pretty much sums up why Bittensor feels inevitable. Drop the costs of coordinating AI, and open networks take over from centralized incumbents. We’re watching the decentralized AI revolution unfold, backed by 80-year-old economic theories, proven by every open system that won before (like internet and Bitcoin), happening right now in 2025. And almost nobody outside this ecosystem gets it yet. That’s the opportunity.

These stats for @Bitcast_network are truly impressive. Within a month, Bitcast miners on X have driven ‣ 2,500 likes ‣ 200,000 views ‣ and many more like replies/comments/etc. The numbers speak for themselves: the team has invented an extremely powerful incentive mechanism. Moreover, @Lazz_eth mentioned that the team has managed to offset miner emissions almost entirely through the new brief sponsor model, a huge feat that proves their strong business model. Bitcast is quickly becoming the marketing tech layer in Web 3, not just in Bittensor. The best part? Anyone can participate. No GPUs or AI tools required like most other subnets. All you need is passion and consistency. Both brands and creators benefit from the using Bitcast. Brands👢 ‣ No need to struggle to find the right creators for targeted campaigns. Talent will come to you ‣ Only need the set the budget once. No more trouble going through hundreds of deals ‣ Get the best content from the best talents all over the world with Bittensor's incentive layer Creators📷 ‣ No need to be large accounts. Even those with 100 followers can participate as long as they add quality content ‣ Get paid based on objective metrics. No more opacity or unreliable metrics ‣ No more middlemen or slow payments. Get paid directly, instantly Bitcast is revolutionizing the $250B+ creator economy. And it has a real chance to be one of the breaktout subnets that makes its name outside Bittensor, and soon crypto. Very excited to see how this one evolves over the next few years.

I'm going to be honest. I don't hold any SN93. But @Bitcast_network is one of my favorite subnets and one I use as an example to explain Bittensor to my family and friends. Why? Because it's the prime example that shows Bittensor is not just an AI project, but rather an incentive layer. Just throw out a good incentive, and miners from all over the world will flock to solve any problem. With Bitcast, the problem statement is simple: solve the inefficiencies and opacity in the $250B+ creator economy, where brands struggle to find creators for targeted campaigns, and creators get stuck with slow payments, middlemen, and unreliable metrics. Bitcast fixes this by turning content creation into a verifiable, tokenized process. Brands get real engagement, creators get instant rewards, and the blockchain ensures no BS. Here's how it works: What Brands Do👢 ‣ Post briefs, such as "Make a 2-min YouTube video explaining SN44 @webuildscore" ‣ Set budget for the brief and pledge rewards to be distributed to creators based on real engagement What Creators Do📷 ‣ Choose an active brief and produce content on a channel of your choice (e.g. Youtube, X) ‣ Once the work is validated, their content is ranked and miners get paid based on real metrics (e.g. watch time, views, likes, replies) The beauty of Bitcast is that the problem is so simple that anyone can mine. No need for GPUs, expensive hardware, or PhDs. All you need to do is post quality content. That's why @Bitcast_network isn't just another subnet. It is the decentralized marketing tech layer that democratizes marketing. There are many miners (creators) with less than 1,000 followers/subscribers. Anyone that puts in the work can climb the rank and become eligible to be a miner. If you're a passionate content creator, start posting to turn your tweets/videos into a paycheck💰

The problem in $TAO isn’t lack of information, but rather avalanche of information. New subnet launches, deregs, cold-key swaps, partnerships, announcements, and announcements of announcements… Everything moves at lightning speed in dTAO. It’s honestly hard to keep up with it all. On top of that, most of us have full-time jobs, which makes everything even harder. That’s why @taodaily_io is so valuable. It has become my one-stop shop to stay current: ‣ Daily recap of what actually matters ‣ New raises, validator moves, subnet updates ‣ Clear breakdowns on technical drops ‣ Founder interviews & long-form ‣ Handy tools that save time Grateful for @taodaily_io for making my life easier. I highly recommend it if you want to stay on top of this crazy world of dTAO. Appreciate all you do for the community @jaltucher 🙏

The first ever Bittensor product I used was SN34 @bitmind Super simple to use: Open Bitmind mobile app → upload any pic → hit “Detect” → instant verdict: Real or AI-generated. BitMind is solving an extremely important problem in the age of artificial abundance: keeping us from drowning in indistinguishable fakes. Images are already photorealistic, videos are catching up fast, and soon the average person won’t be able to tell real from generated. When anything can be fabricated in seconds, misinformation turns weapon-grade. Bad actors can flood timelines with deepfakes or propaganda, and most users—already conditioned to believe everything they see online—will swallow it blindly. Truth gets buried under layers of perfect-looking lies. In the age of artificial abundance, spotting what’s real isn’t a feature anymore—it’s a necessity. BitMind is the truth filter we didn’t know we desperately needed in the age of artificial intelligence. When everything can lie, one tap tells the truth.
