It must be true, that Amnesty genuinely could not comprehend the risk it was taking. Otherwise it would not have done this. It risks its existence.
But why not? Why is this and so many other organisations apparently unable to engage their brains on this issue?

No, @CWilliamson44, repugnant is telling women that they are not entitled to fair sport, safety, dignity or privacy. If MEN - who are a threat to women, regardless of identity - want to help tackle MVAW, they can start by respecting women's boundaries.

This is one of most repugnant things that’s ever come out of her mouth and it’s quite fascinating(not really)how she discusses protecting little girls in sports from transwomen(who are not a threat) but she’s got no smoke publicly for the MEN in power who are actual predators.

Among the idiocies in GLP’s position is their seeming inability to comprehend that the Chair of a charity is also someone who has personal and professional autonomy, and whose every word and deed is not attributable to the charity itself.

Ms Lennon’s approach to the GRR Bill isn’t a minor thing, to be waved away. It’s a substantial part of her political history, evidence about her judgment, her courage, and her capacity to operate outside her happy bubble, that she needs to be willing to talk about, at minimum.

I was struck by the contrast between this measured, precise and impeccably reasoned letter and the vacuous shite pumped out by Amnesty and its chums. It’s like there’s an inversely proportional relationship between access to government/public funds and quality of output.

The Cabinet Office again.
In 2023, civil servants refused to comply with an FOI about its involvement with Stonewall, describing the request as ‘vexatious’. However the ICO disagreed and ordered the Cabinet Office to respond. It confirmed a £2500 subscription in 2022/23 despite saying the department had withdrawn from the Diversity Champion Scheme in 2021.
Prior to this, Government departments including the Home Office were listed as ‘among Stonewall’s best’.
