@Giggly_Jordan Can get new pads. I would recommend the Sony and Bose Active Noise Cancelling ones if getting something new. Also if you are trying to cut down on cords (know you travel a bit), get one that is USB-C for charging.

@FoxandtheFeline What would you like to use it for? Writing notes is nice and the drag of the pen on the surface is nice as the surface is textured like paper. I use it for notes and proof reading reports.

@servelunablack Not big enough yet for Stripe to get pressured to boot them off. Unfortunately the pressure will come. It is whack a mole :(

The Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) will take down healthcare webpages. Imagine being a 12 yr old in Florida with a health question you’re too embarrassed to ask your parents, but you can no longer find information online because KOSA will censor tons of health information

@MrNZguy I have, is a great location. Didn't hear one plane so sound proof well. I just slept there (ate at Koru). So can't comment on restaurant or other facilities. No traffic etc to get to airport.

Has anyone ever stayed at the Novotel at Auckland airport? The one right outside the international terminal door? I have a very early flight soon and am thinking of getting myself an extra hours sleep. I’m not a morning person. I want to know if it’s worth it?

@eollh @lana_amator_p Yeah DVI and VGA are old and have been dropped from interoperability on the most part. For the most part HDMI, Displayport and Thunderbolt can get fairly good at interoperability (excepting latest Apple stuff where can only run one screen per Thunderbolt port, cant use a dock)

@lana_amator_p Omg why are video connector protocols such a MESS. Like my GPU has HDMI and DisplayPort and one of my monitors is HDMI out and the other is DVI out so it’s all just 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 I thought the 2020s were supposed to be the era of interoperability 😫

so was noone gonna tell me an adaptor is not the same as an adaptor converter? 🙃 thought I'd be able to hook up a new monitor to my laptop but I bought the wrong cable apparently. But when I go to look it up, they all look the same...

@lana_amator_p Easiest option add a HDMI monitor to your wishlist. Longer rabbit hole of knowing which HDMI version you laptop has and what your monitor is and seeing if there is a converter that can handle the relevant specs on either end of the connection.
