The support also that has been given from us and other members beyond the club that has sometimes been helping those in crisis has been invaluable and I know personally through my husbands own struggles just how it has been needed. Thankyou to everyone

The Armed Forces community in Rutland is significant and we wanted to bring that community together which we achieved but we are forever blown away by how big that community has become. From small seeds grow mighty oaks and the support we have received has been immense

Our monthly breakfast club takes place on Saturday @thegrainy and it’s going to be emotional. Me and Mark hand the baton over in the capable hands of Ian and Tony. From the monthly breakfast club the AFVBC in Rutland now oversees two coffee mornings and a walking club.

This beautiful Lady has manned stalls, prepared & delivered poppy boxes, knitted poppies and performed many other tasks over the years, and currently supports the appeal by coordinating Remembrance tributes in the district.

My great grandads body has never been identified and he therefore has no known grave. His fall is commemorated in the Tyne Cot memorial near Ypres I will be remembering him today as well as the millions that gave their life #wewillremember 🌺🌺

Great Granddad and Great grandma had him out of wedlock but decided to get married on April 1917, 5 months before his passing. The sad thing is he probably knew he wasn’t coming back and wanted to make sure that my Great Grandma and Granddad were looked after once he had gone.
