Update on my Minecrafts series' on the channel: Hardcore WILL be finished, I just need to wrap up and complete some of the builds on there before I finalize the series out in a way thats satisfying. As for Ash & Rubble Cursed Walking, @RedJagoon789 and I have decided to sunset that series in favor of some new stuff coming down the pipeline for Hytale. It was a super fun series, but the production efforts to make it go were too much for the amount of support it got.

In all honesty gang, there is not enough content in today's Hytale Pre-release to do a video on, so we are going to skip doing a whole video for today. As always to see the changelog go to: hytale.com/news/2026/4/hy… that being said we are getting update 5 as a full release on the 26th on a Tuesday and we will get a full update recap out at that point, additionally we will see what next week looks like as we get the final Pre-release for update 5.

Furthermore, once I had my own community and and active group of people that I knew and cared for deeply, the dream of joining mindcrack to play with all the famous people went away, because it wasnt about the clout or the fame, it was about the experiences with people we were close to

I wish Mindcrack didn't try to capitalize so much on the good thing they had going. It felt as a viewer that they forced people out for completely self promoting purposes. Outside looking in, they banked on the theory that Mindcrack as a brand was more popular than any individual player, which was inherently false, and was proven when the likes of Etho, DocM, Bdubs and a number of others left and went on to remain more relevant and bigger than mindcrack ever got. For mindcrack to have been successful they needed to allow the people who built the brands to own the brands, and they could ride the wave of the combined success, not the other way around.

Now that Mindcrack is dead and I'm semi-retired from YouTube, there's a few things I want to post about. Not seeking drama, just sunshine. I tried my best to avoid naming and shaming and "punching down", but, I just want to address stuff. Replies below. 1/?

Every single kid who played on any Minecraft server wanted it to be like mindcrack, it's why I started my channel, joining "mindcrack style servers" when I was 16 I made videos because I wanted that level of fun and enjoyment that they were all having, and when I didnt get that experience its why I made my own server with my own rules, and kept it as close to that original spirit of mindcrack that we all loved. THAT was the success of mindcrack, not the brand, not the merch, not having copyright over each member's likeness, not owning their projects. The success was that they inspired EVERY young kid out there picking up Minecraft for the first time to go out and be a part of the community, and make something out of it, and the fun it was to do the same with your own friends.

It goes without saying that I thoroughly want Hytale to succeed and have found a large amount more enjoyment out of it than minecraft since its release, however Minecraft will always have a special place in my heart, come what may. More to come...

Minecraft Java adding a friends list after Hytale means that competition in the market is working to make both games better. This is good news

Oh dang, Youtube is about to add the ability to attach files to the video? Wonder what sort of restrictions exist around this. Could use it to add world downloads for tutorials, depending on file size restrictions.
