Today we’ve had Carlisle, Scunthorpe, York and Southend fans all worrying about how many people attend Dale games. I really need somebody to explain their thinking as they all appear to be adults. Can anyone break it down for me as it just seems really, really weird?

23 home games. They pretty much sold out just the once. Yes not many get sold out every week. However, if it wasn’t for away fans Rochdale would scrape just over 1000 in attendance per home game. Shockingly supported club. You’d think as they’re top they’d get thousands weekly

I said it on commentary Saturday, losing Kitchen won’t change York’s structure or dominance, but it will massively shift the balance. It impacts how they progress play and how they look to enter the box from the left side. Kitchen is a unique player, especially at this level, and not an easy one to replace. Yes, it might make things slightly easier for the opposition, particularly when defending key areas and that side of the pitch, but only slightly. There’s no need to panic. The squad is still unreal and will 100% keep pushing for the title, while continuing to play some of the best football we’ve seen at this club in a long time.
