Welp, here's my current PCB fab process. I'm still working out the kinks, so it's always changing. Also, I'm not a video guy, so sorry in advance for the low quality.

@obfuscated_D Where does the Windows requirement come from? I was using Linux exclusively for almost a decade but having switched to MacOS for Fusion etc. Better operating systems are out there...

I found out the hard way that putty doesn’t copy paste like you think it does. It sends everything as key strokes. What’s infuriating about this, is that your lines can wind up out of order. Know what happens when you run gcode that has lines out of order? It took me 4 endmills and hours of debugging my machine before I figured it out

@RueNahcMohr I usually just send it to my network storage and grab it directly in linuxcnc

@RueNahcMohr My cam software is on windows, and I always check my code in an editor anyway, so I was being lazy and just ssh’d into the Linux machine with putty and used nano to paste the gcode to a file on there

If you spend thousands on a lathe, you can save $40 by turning your own rotors . Totally worth it

@hairy_bones Just a normal worm drive, the wheel looks funky because the teeth are half chewed off

@JasonPremoMFG Yea, the cast iron/rust mess was awful. I should’ve covered the ways with something :/

@obfuscated_D True and it's not that difficult to do parallelism is important front and backside of course but nowadays rotors are so inexpensive it's often more cost-effective just to replace them as a kit. Plus you dont yuck up your lathes with cast iron fines too.
