@7minus1 The premise itself is good enough to have its own mini arc, they could’ve leaned back in to Naruto’s more ninja focused roots for Boruto escape. Instead it’s just setup for pt 2 The Momoshiki Arc is easily the best written of the series, even with Naruto’s stamina inconsistency

Give me a Criticism of Boruto (Anime or Manga) that you think is 100% valid in your own opinion. Be entertaining as well this is for a stream.

@Jeannette_019 Too bad the exploration isn’t nearly as good at it looks from the outside. Most of it is just sticking to preexisting paths with little to do or find outside of those paths

Invincible gets so annoying to watch when the plot is primarily pushed forward by inconsistent power scaling or by making characters extremely incompetent, mainly Cecil and the Pentagon

After 50 hours, I'm done with Crimson Desert. An ambitious, sprawling, well-intentioned mess.

@BomberMax1 @YourMusicNerd1 @JonDenton There’s an issue with almost every system in the game yet I still have so much fun with it. Although I think this game is extremely flawed, I still feel like this is the closest we’ve gotten to a perfect open world/sandbox

@BomberMax1 @YourMusicNerd1 @JonDenton I don’t mind the exploration because I usually stumble on them on accident but yeah if the elemental abilities weren’t locked behind the abyss puzzles I would have never touched them. A lot of them are so poorly designed or extremely tedious

@ochrometer @YourMusicNerd1 @JonDenton The same goes for Abyss fragments. Some require puzzles and exploration, while others can simply be found or obtained by defeating enemies, which makes the harder ones feel more like a chore than a reward for me.

@BomberMax1 @YourMusicNerd1 @JonDenton That’s all understandable. There are systems that overlap and makes the more tedious ones like crafting pointless. I like that swords are moreso skins but yeah there really could have been a bigger difference to make them feel more special. And yeah the quest design is awful

@ochrometer @YourMusicNerd1 @JonDenton The most important part of an open world is finding cool and rewarding stuff by either exploring or using mechanics but sadly the game fails to that for me. But it can still be patched. It got way better since the release so far.

@YourMusicNerd1 @JonDenton It’s both really good and really bad. It’s probably the most fully realized open world/sandbox game ever with so much to do and explore. It’s like a kids dream open world game. But there so many questionable design decisions, qol issues, and elements that need complete overhauls

The first chapters are essentially tutorials where you unlock and learn a bunch of different mechanics, systems, and abilities. Once you start getting use to the game and the world opens up is when it gets fun

Like if you was to get a new person into this slow burn what would you recommend to focus on for it to get better? Genuinely asking 🙏

@terminallyOL @DissonantRitual @yellowserif Yeah not worth getting rn. First hours are MISERABLE. Theres a lot of issues with the game that I haven’t seen talked about as much. The combat is ok but it’s not fluid or responsive enough and it shows during boss fights. Kliff can also feel like a clunky gta character to play

@DissonantRitual @yellowserif no, i'm probably going to buy the game of the year edition with all the DLCs and bug fixes when it's 20 dollars. the grapple combat clips i've seen does look pretty cool.

it was like, five or six years ago, i wanna say when AC valhalla came out, that a game map like this would have been called "ubislop trash" and "junk to fill up an open world" so i'm just kind of confused as to why this is raising the bar and good now
