@BigDaddyScalper @zaknotalt @SpoopyBoopys there's lots of expensive staples that have gotten reprints that are just as expensive as the first printing. the msrp being this high means that's likely gonna be an issue here again. examples are dominus impulse & purge

@zaknotalt @SpoopyBoopys So I’m like YGO adjacent so genuinely don’t know. Are there some staples getting their first reprint in this set? And if there are won’t those same staples just get reprinted another 10 times this year?

I think it’s worth stating- if you don’t like the price model, boycott the damn set. This is biblical greed from Konami and whaling on it is just going to reinforce this price for future products.

@xaviersanchezz @ItsBradazHD I dont think stores sold YuGiOh at a Lost ever. If anything its just gonna inflate prices around. Specially with the scalpers hunting down the máster grade cards.

The new Yu-Gi-Oh! Magnificent Monsters set is $35 for 18 cards... Feels really high compared to 2022's Mavens ($25 for 4 packs + sleeves), or the 2025 Mega Pack which was $21. Compared to a Japanese LOCH Box, was 5775 Yen RRP for 15 Packs ($37) and guaranteed an Extended Art.

I'd feel better about the format if I could actually play old favorite decks of mine and bridge the gap to new powerful decks with significantly stronger pointed cards they don't get to play.

- the team(s) behind the format don't seem to know what its identity is supposed to be. if it's meant to get yugiboomers, why are brand new releases like KT or doomZ running rampant?

@PeepsYGO @MBTYuGiOh I really hope that turns out to be true because seeing a genesys side deck running 3 of it is extremely discouraging when a playset costs 60-70€. I just can't justify spending that much on a format that's so volatile where those 60€ could be wasted whenever a new list releases.

@MBTYuGiOh I feel like illusion gate being 0 points while raigeki, lightning storm and even dark hole are is their way to try and sell MZMU. A set that has 2 high value secret rares already and a set that is AWFUL to open in the EU because half the secret rares are god ugly chibis.
