PROP 4 REPEAL UPDATE: An effort to overturn Proposition 4 remains narrowly alive as signature totals continue to shift with Better Boundaries continuing its efforts to remove verified signatures. Better Boundaries has been actively working in Senator Kathleen Riebe’s district in the southeast portion of the Salt Lake valley. 556 signatures have been removed in the district with more than 100 signatures have removed this week. That leaves 103 valid signatures still in place, enough for now to keep the referendum on the ballot. Utahn's for Representative Government achieved the needed signatures for the repeal of the voter redistricting law in the 26 of 29 counties needed. Opponents have until April 23rd to encourage voters to remove their signatures. All it takes is pushing one Senate district below the threshold to kill the issue off this November’s ballot.
