@TheMickeyWiki First, I believe it needs updated but not completely rewritten. Second, I am not sure they are capable of pulling this off in a way that it will feel like a worthy successor. It already looks like they are abandoning the connective tissue from seasonal holidays.

@JoshDaws Love all of that. The Disney stores didn't work before everywhere. They are even less likely to work now given the mixed feeling on the brand and it's expense. Perhaps massive stores in larger cities, globally. But this whole hometown thing isn't it in this current timeline.

The fact that the artwork had IP indicates the direction they were told to go in, though. Imagineering didn't just come up with the IP in SE. That was the direction they were pointed in from top down.

So do we think we’re going to get that canceled Spaceship Earth refurb at some point? A refurbishment project was announced during the 2019 D23 Expo, but was scrapped after COVID. I love that attraction, but it’s probably time for a big refresh. 🌐

@ELO_kiddie73 @NickChaps96 It really isn't in that rough of shape. They recently just took it down for a few months of much needed maintenace. It smoothed out the vehicles a bit. If they want to change the screen thing and VO, that would be a quick and understandable.
