Donald J Trump could turn out to be the third most important person in American history. If he can stop the machine in DC from evolving and reduce head count significantly and it’s a big if. Obama’s activists are in control and it will be a brutal 4 year purge. You are fired!

It’s a family situation and even an app can’t verify you worked, only a camera with video on at all times can. And video is against patient privacy. Once family became an option the fraud is unstoppable. 9 hours a day would let a full time nurse take care of 3 elderly that can’t walk. But 3 hours at $12 is rude so it’s 9 hours at $12. The hourly rates are very low because agencies are in the middle. Give aides $20 an hour directly with 4 hours and it could work. Aides could works 2 patients back to back.

OHIO MEDICAID MONEY TRAIL $1 BILLION IN HOME HEALTH CARE SPENDING According to a Daily Wire data analysis, Ohio spent $1 billion on home health care in 2024, the last year with available data. The concern is simple: these services happen inside private residences, making it difficult to know whether workers showed up or what they actually did in exchange for taxpayer money. Some billed services were described as “companionship and conversation.” One home health operator said people see the business as lucrative, “so they just jump on it.” When taxpayer-funded programs are this hard to verify, the system is begging for scrutiny. Should Ohio audit every dollar tied to home health Medicaid billing? #Ohio #Medicaid #TaxpayerMoney #HomeHealthCare #GovernmentWaste #Columbus #Accountability

The story of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s tragic accident is one of the most heartbreaking and iconic in American Southern rock. It occurred on October 20, 1977, when the band was at the height of its popularity following the success of its newly released album, Street Survivors. Lynyrd Skynyrd was traveling in a 1947 Convair CV-240 charter plane, an old and well-worn model they had rented for the tour. They were coming from Greenville, South Carolina, and heading to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for their next concert. There were 26 people on board: the band members, roadies, crew, and the two pilots. The atmosphere on the plane was tense; they had already experienced mechanical problems on previous flights, and some members, such as drummer Artimus Pyle, were uncomfortable with the aircraft’s safety. At approximately 6:52 p.m., with just a few miles to go, the plane began to malfunction. The pilots reported that they were running out of fuel (the main tank was nearly empty due to a problem with the fuel supply or management). The right engine shut down first, followed shortly by the left. The plane began a forced descent into a swampy forest near Gillsburg, Mississippi. The impact was brutal. The aircraft crashed into the trees, broke into pieces, and skidded along the ground for about 150 meters. There was no explosion because the tanks were empty. Six people died: - Ronnie Van Zant, leader, vocalist, and soul of the band (he was only 29 years old). - Steve Gaines, guitarist and vocalist (a recent addition and a brilliant talent). - Cassie Gaines, Steve’s sister and backup singer. - Dean Kilpatrick, assistant road manager. - The two pilots, Walter McCreary and William John Gray. Twenty people survived, but many with extremely serious injuries: multiple fractures, burns, internal injuries, and lifelong trauma. Gary Rossington, Allen Collins, Leon Wilkeson, Billy Powell, Artimus Pyle, and others managed to crawl out of the wrecked fuselage and call for help. Artimus Pyle, despite having several broken ribs, walked several kilometers to a farm to alert the residents. The survivors later recounted that the minutes spent inside the burning, smoke-filled plane were a nightmare. The official cause of the accident, according to the NTSB investigation, was fuel exhaustion due to poor planning and problems with the plane’s fuel gauges. The Convair already had a history of malfunctions, and the band had been warned about it, but the pressure of the tour and the low cost of the charter outweighed those concerns. The crash brought the classic era of Lynyrd Skynyrd to an abrupt end. The band temporarily disbanded and never performed again with that lineup. Ronnie Van Zant, who had predicted in some songs and comments that he would die young, was buried with a bottle of Jack Daniel’s and his cowboy hat. The album Street Survivors, which featured the band engulfed in flames on the original cover, had to be reissued with a different photo. Decades later, the survivors have continued to perform under the name Lynyrd Skynyrd with new members, honoring the legacy, but always bearing the weight of that night. Gary Rossington, the last original member, passed away in 2023.

I never got the clot shot and I've never had Covid. This despite the fact that I was in the hospital for 3 months during the height of Covid for an unrelated condition. When I visited the hospital several times during that period leading up to my long stay, the parking lots were always empty despite the stories that hospitals were overwhelmed. Emergency rooms were empty in Miami, a major city. No waiting to be seen. In the ER one time I asked the nurse if she was overwhelmed with Covid patients and she told me, I'm not supposed to tell you this but we don't have any Covid patients. Something very strange was going on back then.

Fourth-grade science fairs are not for children. They are a shadow battleground for middle-class parents with unresolved academic trauma. My daughter needed to build a diorama of a coastal ecosystem. I told her to use an old shoebox and some construction paper like a normal kid. Then I saw what the other parents were posting in the class WhatsApp group. One dad had 3D-printed a working tide pool with an automated water pump. Another family imported actual sand from the Galapagos Islands. I panicked and drove to the craft store at 8 PM. I spent $85 on resin, miniature foliage, and a battery-operated lighthouse. I stayed up until 3 AM meticulously painting tiny seagulls while my daughter slept. She got a B minus because the teacher said her presentation lacked independent thought. The kid with the 3D-printed tide pool won first place. His dad is an aerospace engineer. Next year we are doing a baking soda volcano and accepting defeat.

@TheEXECUTlONER_ He only has 700 other delverues. That bag of boxes is over 50 lbs. No driver works directly for Amazon, it’s all 3rd party contractors. The drivers are severely abused. You couldn’t do the job trust me. Do your research lazy man.

This Amazon driver is complaining about the boxes being heavy for this delivery. He seems to be angry about it. This family has a recurring monthly order. Their autistic son only drinks one kind of drink that's really hard to find. The total weight of the 6 packages was 30.7 Ibs, total. Four boxes were the drinks, one box was vitamins, last was chips. You’re a delivery driver. Some packages are light and some are going to be heavy. I'm honestly more concerned about the guy’s health than anything else. Do you think delivery drivers should be complaining about delivering heavy boxes? If you are going to do that job, don’t you think you should be able to lift a certain amount of weight?
👉M-Û-R-Č-H👈@TheEXECUTlONER_

This UPS driver and Amazon driver both delivered packages to the same house at the same time. Before they leave the UPS driver suggests to him that he may want to move the packages to the side so that they won’t have to come out too far. The Amazon driver doesn’t seem too thrilled as he walks away. Some say they would have ignored the UPS driver and others say that’s the problem right there. People also pointed out that UPS makes more money than Amazon drivers, so that could be the difference. Should it matter how much you get paid? Shouldn’t you still do the best job you can? Or, do you think it’s not a big deal and the UPS guy should have minded his own business?

It’s time to have a serious conversation about Drew Allar. Young raw. Dripping with football talent. Just turned 22 never played QB till his sophomore year of high school. No elite coaching. His head coach ruined another surefire 1st rd pick years earlier 3 OCs in 2 years. Bad scheme for his skill set. Everybody knew it but the bad HC. Very little talent around him. No WRs drafted in the NFL. His best receiver was a TE. Two 5th rd picks for running backs. Set records for least amount of INTs while at Penn State. Even with all those obstacles he won 10 games his first season and almost made the national championship game in his 2nd season winning 13 games. Was going to be a first rd pick till an injury ended his senior season. Allar is big and Strong. A cross between Big Ben and Josh Allen. He has one of the best arms in the NFL currently. If Mike McCarthy can fix some minor mechanic issues the Steelers may have just found their next Franchise QB.

Seattle and Lake Washington both adopt a digitally-delivered reading curriculum with no whole books. In the name of "Science of Reading." "The Seattle School Board voted to adopt the new curriculum for K-5 students on April 22, marking the first time Seattle Public Schools’ core instructional materials officially embrace the science of reading." Sigh.

Mark Cuban says one of his companies is saving $50K/month using an AI agent that just takes pictures "One of my Shark Tank companies is called RebelCheesedotcom, they sell vegan cheese and ship it all over the world and they like a lot of companies that ship products in boxes" "You know there's different size boxes for UPS or DHL and there's a different price to ship to a different zone, also they don't ever charge you the right price" "So they wrote a little agent that took a picture of the box when it's getting ready to ship and determined the size looked at the price list, look at the invoice, took a picture of the invoice, compared them and when they were different created the credit request and are saving $50,000 a month and it's all automated they don't have to touch it"

In the afterschool program my wife and I designed and I run, we hire teachers and paras who tutor. We bring in tutorsa from other districts. Every day we have 50 minutes of math tutoring for our middle schoolers.

Analysis: A core tenet of the high-impact tutoring movement has been that embedding extra assistance into the school day provides the best chance for improving student outcomes. It may be time to rethink the potential of afterschool programs buff.ly/oUQzf33

A lot of people these days judge weed by looks and smell first This sun-grown, full-term, organic living soil haze fails that test for most people Harvested 6 months ago and the aroma didn’t fade, it matured. Deeper, more complex It has everything people associate with “bad” weed, except the effects And that’s what actually matters to me
