That should be a goal for Chelsea, Buurman did nothing wrong. That's an absurd decision. #uwcl

🚨💙 Moisés Caicedo when asked about Real Madrid looking for a midfielder: “I want to become a Chelsea legend”. “I’m under contract at Chelsea and my focus is on #CFC and Ecuador”, told @elchiringuitotv.

Academies would suddenly become the most important asset a club has. Clubs might stop selling their best prospects to balance the books. Initially a more competitive league, with more unpredictability & local identity? Prices for homegrown players would skyrocket 😬

Garnacho, Fofana and Sanchez all well out of their depth. Many more could be added to that list. This isn't on Rosenior, although he might well be out of his depth. This is on the clowns that spent billions on this squad. The same mob that vetoed deals for Maignon and Osimhen.

Yeah your right we got off lightly. Hey… remember when we got sanctioned for the war on Ukraine, couldn’t sell any merch, had sponsors leave us etc, our owner had to sell up & we’ve never been the same since?

You can't conflate this total with a PSR breach. It is a very lenient sanction but this is not the way to demonstrate it. A better way is to point to the 2-4 points the original Everton hearing gave Everton for the breach of the duty of good faith (not even asked for by the PL) and then overturned. Chelsea admitted a breach of that and the breaches were clearly deliberate, concealed and deceitful. Yet no sporting sanction.

£47.5m is more than double Everton's breach that led to a Premier League record sanction of 10 points being deducted (it was recalculated to 6 on appeal) While this is a different charge, the commission said EFC "gained no sporting advantage" but still agreed a deduction.

Updated: Chelsea receive £10.75m fine from Premier League for secret payments to players + unlicensed agents during Abramovich era. £47.5m spent off the books to sign Hazard, Ramires, David Luiz, Willian, Eto'o, Schurrle, Matic. thetimes.com/sport/football…

@OllieGlanvill You've got to imagine they're starting too high and they're not very flexible with their negotiations... 🤷🏻‍♂️🫣 I just don't get it. Just get the best deal you can and get it signed. It does make you worry how incapable they are...

Liam Rosenior is a highly promising young coach as he proved at Derby, Hull, Strasbourg and with six wins in eight games at Chelsea. He thinks deeply about the game. He’s obviously a very intelligent person. He’s also worked in the media. So Rosenior should be smart enough to avoid observations that lead to headlines unhelpful to him and his players. Coaches, especially goalkeeping ones, do step into the opposition half to deliver long kicks to warm up their keeper. It happens often. Crossing the halfway line isn’t crossing the line. The media was always going to pick up Rosenior’s spiky comments towards Arsenal staff at the time – TV cameras everywhere, let alone fans filming the warm-up at the Emirates – and then follow up in his press conference yesterday. Rosenior talked about “respect” and, however nuanced he might have been, and respectful towards Mikel Arteta, it was always going to lead to large headlines screaming antagonism towards Arsenal. The whole incident made Rosenior look a bit weak, rather than strong. It seems a minor issue to look rattled about anyway. Rise above it. Rosenior may not care about the headlines, and some Chelsea fans may love his cocksure attitude, but it serves as fuel to the fire of opponents, it creates unnecessary negativity around him and he could use more of that time also bigging up his own team. He spoke about Cole Palmer. So speak more about what a special player he is. Accentuate positives about your own team, not throw negatives at others. Especially when they’ve just beaten you home and away. #CFC

@CFC12thMan @NizaarKinsella Yeah, when the changes were made it didn't make us much more fluent going forward. Hoped more more of an impact but they're obviously pretty solid. We only conceded as we overcommitted in desperation.

@ohdenniswise @NizaarKinsella The plan was fine. But, when the plan is to chase it late, why waste a big forward running aimlessly on the wing for 60 minutes, then have nothing to throw on late? Acheampong in the 87th minute, then sticking him in the box was close to a white flag.

@CFCColeDancer So true. Unfortunately this Arsenal side is big, strong and growing in confidence. We're got so many players who are inconsistent and finding their feet. We could have beaten them tonight, but we can't just turn up and bully teams anymore... We'll be back!

@ohdenniswise Spot on @ohdenniswise - throwing caution to the wind and losing is a Tottenham trope we should never fall into the trap of wishing for. Would I prefer we were a team who could turn up and bully this Arsenal side into submission - totally. But we are not.

@bluedaze65 @NizaarKinsella You'd imagine the rationale was that he was there to bully them and tire them out before bringing on fresh legs. Easing back Palmer/Estevao, Garnacho low on confidence and Neto out. Arsenal are physical. Probably won't be repeated but Delap did work tirelessly.

@ChampsChelsea26 @NizaarKinsella Exactly this. So little time - especially as a whole group - to work on things. I've been massively impressed with Rosenior. Everything's going to be alright 🫣🤞🏻

@ohdenniswise @NizaarKinsella Being battered with 3 games a week gives the new coaching team zero time on the training ground to actually work through things and articulate the way they want them to play. Such a difficult situation to be in right now.
