I’m not sure how much longer Americans are going to handle rising prices… I can say with certainty that: My gasoline bill has doubled My electrical bill increased significantly Rent still hasn’t come down/stabilized Interest rates are still sky-high Meat/groceries are unaffordable Health insurance premiums rising again Home prices are outrageous & rising Car prices are still outrageous and rising And the wild part is that nobody seems to be doing anything to fix a single problem…

@FiredUpCoug That is 100% not acceptable. I taught fourth grade for 30 years and did not allow late work. Sometimes I would have them stay in at recess to finish work. Teaches need to teach accountability.

“Why do you have an F in science!?” “Don’t worry, Dad. It’ll be an A by the end of the term. My teacher lets us turn in assignments whenever we want with no penalty.” Is this a familiar conversation for other parents on X? I hate this policy. I’m sure teachers see it as compassionate, and I understand the instinct. But “do it whenever you feel like it and turn it in late with no consequence” is not kindness. It is reaching our kids that deadlines are suggestions, procrastination has no cost, and urgency is optional. That is not how the world works after graduation. A little flexibility is good. Grace matters. But grace without any expectations does NOT prepare kids for adulthood.

@RealSkipBayless None of the Browns quarterbacks are any good. This is why they were 5-12 last year.

WHY? WHY? WHY? Browns draft another QB, Taylen Green, top of R6. Freakish big athlete who throws it pretty well and definitely can run. BUT THE BROWNS DON'T NEED ANOTHER QB. THEY HAVE 3, WITH SHEDEUR THE STARTER. SHOW SOME FAITH IN HIM.

am i the asshoole because i dont want my girlfriend to travel with me because shes a picky eater? My girlfriend says she cant eat any vegetables and honestly eating in general is a challenge. Right now we have an agreement that I can go out and eat at a restaurant alone once a month alone bc I just need the ability to eat whatever I want without consequence. But for her - she cant even pick lettuce/tomato/onion off her hamburger. It needs to be a patty with cheese only. She cant eat street tacos, just tacos from Taco Bell. Im real concerned about traveling and Ive received the chance to travel more and I just want to be able to eat without overthinking everything. Each day, when I order food..it becomes about whether or not she can eat anything off the menu and I find I cant even take her to restaurants without a children's menu. Ive learned that restaurants with a children's menu will have at least something she can eat. I feel like a huge asshole but I can't do this anymore. I just want to be able to pick for myself without meltdowns.

@MarketPalmer_ Hello? Parents don't have to give their kids ANY inheritance. I am spending my life insurance I cashed out at age 60 on traveling.

Wanna help your kids? Give them their inheritance early. Help pay for their college, their wedding, their first down payment on a house. This will likely result in you giving them less money. But it will also result in you providing them more real value. Because a chunk of cash when your kids are 50+ won't benefit them as much as financial relief when they're 20-30.

@WhiteBabyFac Hello? Grandparents do NOT have to babysit. They've paid their dues. Maybe you should have thought about that before you had kids. This is why I decided not to have kids.

I'll never understand grandparents who happily live in luxury while their kids and grandkids are struggling.

I was in a class yesterday supporting some of our Special Education students when an administrator came in to do a walkthrough for the teacher of record. The teacher walked over quietly and said, “I know the student sleeping isn’t ideal, but if I wake him, he’s going to disrupt the class and walk out.” The AP responded, “That won’t affect your appraisal score, but if you don’t wake him, I’ll have to take off.” So the teacher wakes him. He immediately starts cussing at her, flips a chair, and walks out of the room. Now the entire class has lost focus, and instruction is basically done. At least the appraisal score looks good.
