@jshguo Align optically and in normal state for the best default visual appearance. Over reliance on rulers and grids and defining layouts on temporary effects gives an inhuman impression.

no shade to op but not only is this mindset naïve for reasons others have already alluded to, but it also breeds a sense of entitlement / victimization / and delusion if left unchecked. the worst clients I've ever had all made it very obvious they secretly thought this.

@_EricHu when I got into computers in the early 00s, it was so easy to dismiss digital art as disposable. print felt permanent. over time, of course, the inverse turned out to be true.

Having gotten into design through the web when most of my classmates in art school came from a print background was interesting because I got "Oh I'm not interested in digital. I want a physical connection to the work I make" alot. I spent years unpacking why that felt odd.

Impossible Acoustic's sound work on Dynamo Dream was bonkers transformative. There were scenes in there that were just kinda weird (the floorhead scene, or the ending), and by the time they were done with it, it was an *experience*. So grateful I got to work with them.
