Games last for hours, but the ball is only ever in play for about eleven minutes total.
The rest of the time, it's commercials, huddles, and listening to people talk about football (many of whom have never played).

Soccer will never be popular in America.
What we’re seeing with the World Cup is a fad. Within months we will be addicted to the NFL again.
Here’s why:
- Soccer isn’t violent enough.
- There’s way too much whining which goes against the American DNA.
- The refs and rules seem incredibly arbitrary.
- It’s in American to have a sports game end in a draw. It’s just wrong.
- Hard to monetize. TV ads are nonexistent. I actually like this element but our American economy does not.
- Did I mention there’s too much whining and faked injuries?
Basically, what I’m saying is that soccer is a pretty wimpy sport. You can hate me for saying this but you know it’s the truth.
I will continue enjoying the World Cup but we all know what happens next.

I bought more expensive games than GTAVI 20 years ago. I can get this shit tonight if I wanted to.
The reasons I don't:
1. I don't owe Rockstar shit. I don't care how many employees need "feeding" or how many years they spent making it. This is capitalism. Not charity.
2. Digital Only is a predatory tactic. It sets a precident that manipulates AAA studios into limiting consumer's choices.
3. Physical media has historical, resale & collector value. Digital media doesn't. 💵
4. Hiding a completed product's cosmetic items behind a paywall is pure greed. It's not post launch DLC but finished in-game assets.
5. The $80 pricetag itself isn't the issue. Rockstars' tone deaf corporate greed and departure from their bulletproof reputation is.

Once again, Studio Canal is pulling movie licenses. Purchases to be outright erased from libraries. It's the same that happened in 2022 and during the Funimation-Crunchyroll merger. Digital is rental!

Frankly, I really enjoy that Nintendo keeps the graphics simple because it fosters better gameplay and brings more indie developers to the table.
