A GenZ was recently hired. Day two. She messages boss at 9.15 am saying "I will be working from home today." Boss wanted to know if everything was okay. She replied "My cook came late. I didn't feel like eating outside. So I am staying in." Boss just stared at the screen. No fever. No crisis. Just vibes and breakfast. That's when boss realised GenZ aren't unprofessional. They are just running on a completely different operating system. We used to think for hours before giving a silly excuse. GenZ says the truth without blinking. And honestly, I kind of admire it. Unpopular opinion: iPad is the most useless device in apple’s lineup. It’s a cool device but for 9/10 people; it has no regular use, especially as iPhones get bigger screens. I’ve had every generation iPad and they always end up collecting dust. The exception is if you’re an artist or absolutely need a larger screen and for some reason, a MacBook doesn’t work for you. Please, by all means, prove me wrong. What do you use your iPad for on a regular basis? What are must have apps that aren’t on iPhone and appeal to the regular person, not an artist? I really want to love my iPad but from day one, it was always unclear to me who it’s targeting and why anyone would need it. For me, for casual use, iPhone does the trick and if I absolutely need a larger screen, I use a MacBook. Why am I wrong?

For four decades, Oklahoma City toasted the New Year at Opening Night.  That tradition eventually converged with the Thunder New Year’s Eve game, and downtown was electric well past midnight.   And then Opening Night came to an end.  Since 2022, we have just watched other cities celebrate on TV.  Only four U.S. cities in the top 20 currently have no public celebration when the clock strikes midnight, and OKC has been on that list.   The year 2025 deserves a party, and so does our city, and so I was excited to announce today at Scissortail Park that on December 31st, 2025, a New Year’s Eve countdown and celebration will return to downtown OKC!   The NYE PARTY IN THE PARK will welcome residents to Scissortail Park from 9:30 p.m. through midnight to enjoy live music, food and drink vendors, and a countdown to 2026, followed by a drone show made possible by Inasmuch Foundation.  Once again, we will celebrate the New Year together in OKC!  See you there!
