@TouchlineX The same UEFA that appointed referees that cheated Barca to favour Atletico. The same UEFA later favoured Arsenal over Atletico. I hope Perez have forgotten some details.

🚨 Since the beginning of the season, Real Madrid has been putting together a detailed report of what it considers refereeing mistakes against the club in La Liga, with plans to present it to UEFA. · There have been 14 VAR reviews involving Real Madrid, with 11 decisions going against them and just 3 favoring them, leaving a net balance of -8. They are the club with the highest number of reviews against them and the third-lowest team with decisions in their favor. · In contrast, FC Barcelona holds a +5 balance in VAR interventions, having received 8 decisions against them but benefiting from 13 favorable calls, the second-most in the league.

@ujnoisemaker @unijos @unijoslibraries I served in Unijos at Actuarial Science Dept between 2015 & 2016. Prof Maimako was my Dean before he assumed VC role. I left Jos in August. Prof Akintunde is my mentor I did not regret meeting. He shaped my academic career. We still met in Gboko last year.

At the beginning of Prof. Maimako's tenure as VC, a very tragic incident happened at the University of Jos. The library burned down. A library in a university is like the soul of the institution. The soul of the university burned down. It was said that when he visited the site, he wept. The University Librarian, one of the greatest and most underrated men in this entire country, Dr. Stephen Akintunde, was also devastated. The very next day, the two of them began talking about a plan to do something better. A few days later, they launched "Operation Beauty from Ashes," a campaign designed to rebuild the burned library. You would think this was the normal institutional response. It was not. It was something different entirely. Maimako and Dr. Stephen each donated one million naira to the rebuilding effort. One million naira each. This was more than two months of their basic salary as professors. They gave it because they loved knowledge. They loved books. They loved what they were doing, and that library meant everything to them. And then something beautiful happened. The heart and commitment these two men poured into the effort turned it into something much larger than themselves. Dr. Stephen became the emissary, the man on the ground doing the follow-up while the VC managed everything else. He traveled wherever he could, preaching the gospel of the library's revival to anyone willing to listen. He reached out to alumni, to former lecturers living abroad, to international bodies and organisations. Anyone. Everyone. Gradually, resources began to come in. And then they began to pour in. It was a genuinely beautiful campaign, quietly and effectively run. TETFund had already taken note of their commitment and provided 720 million naira toward the rebuilding. Maimako and Dr. Stephen insisted that the new library would be built with fire-resistant materials. They also relocated lectures that had been held within the library complex. When the project was completed a few years later, the library had become one of the finest edifices on the entire campus and one of the best university libraries in the country. The interior and exterior were works of art. To this day, students use the front of the library as a backdrop for photographs. It is the selfie monument of the university. The one place you had to be photographed to prove you had been to the University of Jos. What a tribute. And what a fitting one. Most people who stand there do not know that what they are posing in front of was born out of pain. It was beauty from ashes, in the most literal sense. One of the most significant outcomes of the crisis was the accelerated shift to digital resources. Because the physical books were lost, the library team prioritised the expansion of online databases and e-learning portals, making Unijos a leader in digital repository access at the time. Dr. Stephen had already been an advocate for digitisation before the fire. The aftermath gave him the platform to fully integrate electronic resource management into the university's core academic strategy. Within days of the fire, he had successfully migrated library operations to the Bauchi Road campus, ensuring that students preparing for examinations were not left completely stranded. He went on to serve as the face of the recovery effort, hosting international delegations and donors, and was eventually conferred with a professorship. He continued to serve as a leading voice in the Librarians Registration Council of Nigeria. The library burned on October 8, 2016. By October 20, 2016, they had launched Operation Beauty from Ashes. Twelve days. The campaign went on to become a model for academic crisis management in Nigeria, demonstrating that university leadership, alumni engagement, and institutional will could turn disaster into legacy.

🚨 Ronald Koeman on Barcelona’s 2–0 loss against Atlético Madrid : Right now, the whole system looks too dependent on Raphinha and Lamine Yamal. When those two are not fully involved or not at their best, the team loses creativity, rhythm, and confidence. Today, I felt Marcus Rashford was the only player really trying to support Yamal and bring some danger going forward. But it’s not enough at this level — you need more players taking responsibility. And honestly, it’s sad to see Barcelona lose like this at home. This stadium used to be a place where opponents suffered. Now, teams come here believing they can win — and that’s a big problem.

@reshadrahman Bartomeau treated Messi well at the expense of the club. An irony. See how Xavi was used by a candidate with no plans. Xavi should complete the truth with signing Ferran and wanting Raphinha out.

@ArsenKveFCB Xavi allowed himself to be used which is not good for Font. Xavi didnt talk about his own faults because of election. If I had the opportunity to vote I would vote Laporta because Font concentrated on dirty politics not what he wanted to. He has nothing to offer.

Xavi is definitely saying the truth in several things. Both Xavi and Koeman dissmisal were misandled, but both decision were correct at the time. Laporta is far from the perfect president considering that his entire project last election was run on vibes and sportingly a lot of it was taken from Font's project. Still believe Laporta is the right man for the job tho. He brought back Barcelona, but we know that Laporta is a good politician and tends to lie to make everything seem better than it actually is.

Why exactly would Xavi’s words be politically motivated? He’s already said he isn’t returning to the club, we know he isn’t part of Font’s campaign - this is about him feeling wronged by Laporta and delevering a him a blow at the most significant moment. That doesn’t mean I necessarily agree with the timing, but I don’t understand the rationale of skewing this to undermine his credibility. This is about not wanting Laporta back more than wanting Font in charge. That’s obvious, no?

🚨🎙️| Xavi: "Busquets was going to leave the team, so I requested to sign Zubimendi, but I was told it wasn't possible for economic reasons. After that, Jordi Cruyff left due to the lack of appreciation he was facing, Cruyff's own son. And they're the ones waving the "Cruyffism" flag. I told them: "What are you saying? We had just won the league." And just a month and a half later, they got rid of Mateu Alemany. At that moment, I should have left too. When we were the ones making the decisions, the team was developing and rising, but when they started making the decisions, the team's level dropped, and that's no coincidence." #fcblive

🚨🗣️ 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Diego Simeone: "Lookman brings us goals, more goals than overall play. He can still improve his overall play and defensive work." "We need him to adapt to the team’s way of playing in those aspects. His message is that he wants to improve as a footballer." "He has that goal-scoring instinct, those goals he has scored are no coincidence. But we also need more from him in the overall game."

🚨💣 𝐄𝐗𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐕𝐄: Diego Simeone has been informed by Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo and other top club directors to focus everything on winning the 2nd leg against Barcelona and subsequently the Copa del Rey trophy. The club knows it is over for them in La Liga and the Champions League has no guarantees. For the first time in 5 years, the feeling at Atletico Madrid is that they have come close to a trophy. Some top players will be rested between now and the 2nd leg against Barcelona on March 3.

If Barça, Chelsea and Newcastle win tomorrow, all three + City, Sporting, PSG, and (potentially) Atalanta, Atleti and/or Liverpool will ALL be on 13 points heading into the final match-day. Goal difference…

This AFCON final, won by Senegal, has taught me one important lesson: never make emotional decisions they will cost you. That lesson comes courtesy of Sadio Mané. He stayed calm under immense pressure, called his teammates back onto the pitch, and through composure and leadership, managed to guide Senegal to victory and win the tournament.
