Man United's midfield recruitment is going to be absolutely fascinating this summer, arguably the most interesting area of any one team in Europe. Casemiro, who has scored 5 of their 24 League goals under Michael Carrick, is leaving the club. That leaves them with Mainoo, Ugarte, Fletcher x2 and Collyer as natural central midfielders, not nearly enough for 4 competitions, especially with Ugarte likely to leave. I think they need 2 players in that position as a minimum. I personally see Mainoo as a connector type, rather than a controller, and with Casemiro leaving they need to add physicality, defensive output, high volume passing and ideally... some goalscoring threat, across their acquisitions. Given the success of Mbeumo and Cunha, I'd be surprised if at least one of the additions wasn't Premier League based. Bruno Guimaraes, Tonali, Anderson, Wharton, Baleba, Stach, Garner... these are the sorts of names I expect to be in the mix. Which combination would you go for? Who would you look at from abroad?

Seriously impressed with Inter's attitude this season. On track for a treble last year, before ending up with nothing, humiliated in the Champions League final... Their manager of the last 4 years, who had led them to so much success on a shoestring budget, leaves for Saudi Arabia, replaced by a former player with 13 matches of experience at Parma to his name. And yet here we are in late April, and they are 12 points clear in Serie A and into the Coppa Italia final against either Lazio or Atalanta, after an inspired Calhanoglu performance in 2nd leg vs Como. (What a signing!) It's not been perfect... key players like Dumfries, Barella and Thuram have battled injury issues or loss of form... and Bodo Glimt was a disaster... But Chivu... Inter... well done!

@DougieCritchley You forgot to add that Chivu - the current Inter Milan manager was among Mourinho' Inter Milan boys that won the treble - The UEFA Champions League, Serie A and the Copa Italian. That Mourhino's Inter remains the only Italian squad that has won the Treble in history.
