I joined others at the South West Zonal Unity Walk in support of the transformational leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at Onikan Stadium. It was good to see people come together in unity and shared purpose, showing the strength we have when we stand together.

Hmmm From the 1st republic through the second, there were also permutations and combinations on Awolowo's possible successor as the leader of the yoruba progressive politics. Who could carry on his vision, inherit his political structure and build upon his leadership foundations. Awo did not lack for candidates. His rank and file boasted minds that were formidable in their own right - men neither lacking in oratory, nor wanting in insight, nor absent in political sagacity. The names alone commanded rooms: Bola Ige, Lateef Jakande, Abraham Adesanya, Olabisi Onabanjo, Adekunle Ajasin.... Yet - When the curtains closed in 1987, and Awolowo departed our realm to join the celestial company of ancestors, not one of the men he had personally groomed - despite their individual achievements, their popularity among their people, their loyalty, their devotion to the Awoism philosophy - was able to effectively succeed the Sage. Effectively is the operative word. Not every absence create a vacuum, Some create a void. And a man may be replaced in position, but not in presence. Not every man who departs leaves a space that the living can adequately occupy. As it was for Awo - so it may be for Asiwaju. His position will be replaced, but it is very unlikely we will find a man to replace his presence. And not even the Aregbesola you named - For he may have the political astuteness but he is grossly lacking in vision, strategic patience and native intelligence. Men are not equal - not in sacrifice, not in timing, not in consequence. Good Morning Severally...

Impossible. Fashola is not Tinubu's type pf politician. He can't build, control or maintain structure. He is also too blunt. He is also too refined for some of the tradeoffs that come with it. He also doesn't have the aura. The closest person was Aregbesola but he has lost the chance. No one is effectively succeeding him.

From the reports I have received, our armed forces have been conducting sustained, intense land and air offensives against the insurgents, neutralising many terrorist fighters and commanders. The insurgents’ counterattack is a sign of desperation.   I extend my condolences to the families of our gallant soldiers, led by  Brigadier-General Oseni Omoh Braimah, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the defence of our country in Borno State.   The government will never forget their sacrifices. Their sacrifices will not be in vain. Because of the courage and dedication of our troops on the frontline, our resolve to defeat terrorism and all forms of violence across Nigeria is stronger than ever.   I urge the Military High Command and our troops in all theatres of operation: Do not lose heart, do not be weary, do not be discouraged.   Our officers and men should continue to serve with honour, courage, and patriotism. The government will always stand by the Armed Forces, provide more of the equipment needed and ensure the welfare of all who risk their lives for our safety.   I urge Nigerians and the media to continue to support our Military in their relentless battle against insurgency and banditry. We should desist from celebrating or condoning the attacks against our troops. These soldiers are our heroes; unforgettable and irreplaceable.   My condolences also go to the government and people of Borno State. The Federal Government will continue to work with the state government to achieve total victory and lasting peace. Bola Ahmed Tinubu President & Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria

As a Wife, If a man flirts with you knowing you have a Husband, that is not a compliment. He is not seeing a great woman. He is seeing weak boundaries. He is not thinking, "She is special." He is thinking, "She can be taken." And the moment you entertain that attention, you are proving how easy it is to disrespect your Marriage. A man who openly crosses that line does not respect your Husband, But worse than that he does not respect you either.👂🏿🤌🏿

After a certain age, your parents slowly become your children. They ask simple questions, repeat stories, and depend on your patience the way you once depended on theirs. Very few understand this role reversal. What looks like innocence or inconvenience is really time coming full circle. Don't correct them harshly. Don't rush them. Care for them the way they once protected you. This is not a burden. It is repayment.

Aisha Yesufu that openly campaigned for Buhari and the APC wants to oppose Peter Obi if he contests second term? So in her activist mind, Obi that can't even keep a promise of not decamping is believable? So in her mind, Obi if elected can fix the 36 states in 4 years? Someone that couldn't fix a state for 8 years and failed to manage the crisis in LP for 4 years plus. Aisha Yesufu that heavily El-Rufai and Atiku in the past but is now happily in the same camp with them? That woman has no principles.

The tale of 2 Kings. One is the former and the other is the current. One bows in respect of the office and the other bows to honour the age of the other. Two Presidents. One common language, HONOUR. One Cultural representation. Two distinct states. One Tribal umbrella covering, YORUBA. Ogun and Lagos State. The common factor, RESPECT. Photo credit: @Fagskill

I returned to Ogun State today with a full heart. What I saw in Iperu is the kind of progress we must insist on as a nation. Quite deliberate, and built to last. The Gateway Cargo Airport stands as proof of what is possible when vision is matched with discipline. As I said, “Our investment is about our people. Today’s foundation is for tomorrow’s prosperity.” I acknowledge Governor Dapo Abiodun @DapoAbiodunCON for his focus and consistency. Development is not about noise. It is about decisions that improve lives. From the aircraft launched today to the electric bikes, tractors, and security assets, this is what progress should look like. Practical, real, and visible. “Development must touch every level,” and I am pleased to see that principle taking shape in Ogun State. Our Renewed Hope reforms are not abstract. They have provided more resources for sub-nationals and are creating room for states to act and deliver. Many states, including Ogun, are rising to the moment. We will stay the course. “We are building for people, and we are building for prosperity.” As they say in Ogun, “Ìṣẹ́ yá…” I say, “Ìṣẹ̀ ń lọ.” The work continues. - Bola Ahmed Tinubu President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria .@ngrpresident .@nigeriagov
