I actually think the president needs to start showing up more in person. This time not as a political gesture, but as a signal of presence and responsibility. There is nothing wrong with him going to Plateau today, standing in front of the people, and saying clearly that he sees them and understands what has happened and give a personal guarantee that there will be consequences to the perpetrators and such will not be allowed to occur again.
