Langdon was reprimanded for stealing drugs in season 1 and the time jump accommodated his return for season 2. Dana’s story arc in season 1 also has been “the place isn’t good for me, so should leave” and she changed her mind about leaving the hospital in season 2.

I don’t understand the fan backlash from this announcement. It seems logical for a character whose two season story arc has been “This place isn’t a good fit for me, where should I go next” to leave the show.

At this point, the unwillingness to engage with concerns about racism is making me not even want to watch #ThePitt anymore. I just cannot take them seriously. At least acknowledge the critique, don't just brush it off.

wrong. she was gonna move back to NJ to be closer to her mom, but her mom is moving, so she has been looking at ways to *STAY*.
and even if she WERE actively trying to leave, she wouldn't be doing so for another ~12 months (bc her R4 year wouldn't end until june next year).
