Lamine Yamal is literally doing the Leonardo DiCaprio speedrun but in reverse. 💀 While Leo dumps them at 25, Yamal is collecting them like Infinity Stones before he’s even allowed to buy a beer in some countries. At this rate, he’ll have more exes than career goals by 2027. Kid is moving faster off the pitch than on it! 🏃‍♂️💨 #LamineYamal #Barcelona

During my visit to Kyiv today I saw a civilian heating plant targeted by Russian missiles. No military value whatsoever - attacks meant only to make people suffer. But Ukraine stands strong. And NATO stands with you.

I read in the comments that some followers can’t take reading bad news anymore. I get that. I do. Is there anything good about this situation? Hard as it may be to believe, but there is. No electricity means no internet. And without the internet, people spend less time on social media and more time with their families and friends. People visit each other - even if it's to wash their clothes or cook some food. They go outside more often. They talk to their neighbors and to other people around them - because together, it’s easier, supporting one another when it matters most. It’s very hard for Ukrainians right now, but standing together makes it easier to endure. 📹: Kyiv, January 31, 2026.

I don't often share my own emotions here. I mostly stick to facts and reason. But I'm actually a very emotional person. The situation in Kyiv with freezing people in cold homes that are left without electricity, heating and water during the cold winter after deliberate Russian attacks is simply terrible. The most vulnerable, the weakest, the old, the sick, the tiny kids and their parents - these suffer the most. They have nowhere to go or they simply can't move. A lot of people have nothing apart from those cold walls. Their suffering doesn't help Russia reach any military goals. Ukraine will not fall, the frontline will not collapse. Ukraine is still a large and strong country. What Russia does and what it is able to do is cause great suffering to average Ukrainians. Russia puts people on the brink of survival, makes people's lives unbearable. This is a tragedy of a huge scale and people who are surviving through this want to understand what this is all for. In almost four years of the full-scale war Ukraine demonstrates incredible resilience and bravery. An exhausted Ukraine is a direct threat to European security. A strong Ukraine means a protected Europe. Ukraine needs air defense and security guarantees.

Putin spends millions from Russia's budget to subject Ukrainians to a life without heating, electricity and water during a harsh winter. He wants hospitals, schools, nurseries to stop working. He strives to freeze the homes where kids and adults, the elderly and the sick live. None of the millions of Russians protest against that - instead, they approve. That's their level of hatred, cruelty and lack of any sense. Ukrainians are going through a terrible ordeal. Ukraine is waiting for spring and hoping for peace. Putin needs to be in prison, not on the Board of Peace.

Ukrainian tennis player Oleksandra Oliynykova spoke out at Australian Open, asking for support for Ukraine: We need your help and I would like to share the way people can help Ukrainians. I did preparation for this tournament in Ukraine and during my preparation I was hearing explosions. Last night I spent in Ukraine before the trip here, here was an explosion just near my home and a Shahed drone hit the home just across the road. My apartment was literally shaking because of the explosion. Now in Ukraine we don't have electricity. In my apartment I have no electricity, no water, no heat. And that's what's going on.

‼️ Russia is committing energy genocide against Ukrainians Russia's campaign of strikes against Ukraine's energy sector during the harshest frosts is not a series of "episodes" and not a "military necessity." It is a systematic operation aimed at destroying living conditions. Repeated attacks on power generation and networks trigger a predictable chain - blackouts → heating shutdown → water supply problems - precisely in winter, when harm to civilians is at its maximum. Reuters, citing UNICEF and the IFRC, directly warns about the risks of hypothermia for children due to the lack of electricity and heat. Russia strikes not only 'visible' power plants, but also high-voltage transmission nodes - substations and power lines that maintain regional power flows. This creates an effect of "cutting" the energy system: even when part of the generation is preserved, damaged nodes make it inaccessible where the shortage is most acute, multiplying humanitarian consequences. In its statement at the IAEA Board of Governors on Ukraine, European External Action Service condemned Russia's attacks on energy infrastructure and noted separately that damage to key substations has forced Ukrainian nuclear power plants to take emergency measures. This directly concerns nuclear safety. In its regular updates, the IAEA emphasizes that the degradation of the power grid during the war poses a serious threat to the safety of operating nuclear power plants and to the situation around the occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP, which has repeatedly lost its external power supply. When strikes disrupt the operation of substations and power lines, the likelihood of a regime in which stations depend on emergency power sources increases - one of the most dangerous scenarios in terms of preventing a man-made accident. ‼️ What Russia is doing is a war crime. International humanitarian law prohibits attacks on objects that are indispensable for the survival of the civilian population, as well as actions aimed at depriving civilians of basic living conditions (water, heat, critical services) - this is enshrined in customary law (ICRC Rule 54) and in Additional Protocol I (Article 54). The UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine warns that repeated strikes on energy infrastructure put civilians at serious risk and are critical to the survival of the civilian population. ‼️ Russia's attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure bear the characteristics of the crime of genocide, a war crime, and a crime against humanity, as they predictably lead to mass suffering and deaths of civilians and are a policy of "destruction of living conditions." Russia is committing genocide. Right now. In Europe.

Thanks to Ukrainian doctors and all medical workers, Ukraine’s healthcare system has not stopped for a single moment during this war. Thank you for your work. Today, on the occasion of their professional holiday, I presented state awards to our medics and expressed my gratitude to all healthcare workers in Ukraine for every life saved. Because what you do every day is, above all, about life and for the sake of life. And it cannot be gauged or measured in any equivalent. Every life saved is about a very real person — about someone’s fate. About what has continued and has not been lost thanks to you. About a story that always matters deeply to each person — a story that lives on because of you, that hasn’t vanished thanks to you, which means that the person’s life and future have not vanished either. I want to thank all our Ukrainian medics for all of this. Glory to you!

Today, in year four of Russia’s full-scale war, our military has recorded over one million Russian casualties — killed and wounded. That’s the price Putin is willing to pay for his sick geopolitical fantasies. And still, he refuses to end this war.

Every massive Russian strike requires time for preparation. It is never a spontaneous decision. It is a deliberate choice – not only of targets but also of timing and date. Today, Putin deliberately chose Christmas for an attack. What could be more inhumane? Over 70 missiles, including ballistic ones, and more than a hundred attack drones. The targets are our energy infrastructure. They continue to fight for a blackout in Ukraine. According to preliminary reports, our defenders managed to shoot down more than 50 missiles and a significant number of drones. Unfortunately, there have been hits. As of now, there are power outages in several regions. Power engineers are working to restore power supply as soon as possible. I thank everyone who is working for the country, who is on combat duty, who is protecting our skies. We will restore the maximum. Russian evil will not break Ukraine and will not spoil Christmas.
