I’ve just listened to William Ruto address Nairobi MCAs, and honestly, something feels off. It’s like he didn’t expect this level of anger from the Gikomba demolitions. You can hear it in how he’s talking. At some point, he’s even trying to say part of the State House would be demolished for being on riparian land, and you just pause like... wait, what? That’s not confidence. That’s someone trying to recover ground he didn’t expect to lose. This is damage control, plain and simple. I think he genuinely thought Gikomba would just pass like any other “project”. It didn’t. Now it’s explanations, justifications, promises of a “better market”. Because the backlash caught him off guard. And let’s be real for a second, He knows he’s already lost the people who were affected and many more. And there’s still something that doesn’t add up: If the issue was riparian land, Why is the same government now planning to build in that same place? So what was the real reason? Because clearly, it wasn’t just the land. Anyway, you can just tell. This is someone realizing, a bit too late, that things didn’t go the way he expected. Too late.

If the government doesn’t regulate the rowdy Nigerians in this city then we won’t have a country. Nigerians are everywhere spreading their filth, from Karen to Kibera ,Mathari to Muthaiga, Lavington to Kawangware etc! By the time we realize it will be too late!!

This is not just about cars. It is about equality before the law and whether those who make the rules are above them. Let us answer your questions directly. ❓ ARE MPS EMPLOYEES? Legally and technically, NO. MPs are not employed by the government or any company. They are elected public officials who hold an office of trust. They are not on a payroll like a civil servant or a worker. They are representatives of the people, paid allowances and salaries to perform their duties. But here is the catch, even though they are not "employees" in the strict sense, they still receive income and benefits from public funds. And in tax law, what matters is not the title you hold, but the nature of the benefit you receive. ❓ SHOULD THE CAR GRANTS BE TAXED? YES. 100% YES. Here is why KRA and the Courts are RIGHT, ✅1. It is a GAIN, not a reimbursement. A true reimbursement is when you spend your own money on work and get paid back exactly what you spent. But here, MPs were given 7.5 Million shillings to buy a car. They did not spend their own money first. And most importantly, after their term, they OWN the car or can SELL it and keep the money. That is not a cost of doing work. That is additional income. That is a benefit. And benefits are taxable. ✅2. Ordinary citizens do not get this. A teacher, a nurse, a driver, or a businessman does not get free money from the government to buy a car that they will own forever. If an employer gives an employee a car or a car allowance, it is taxed as a fringe benefit or part of their salary. Why should MPs be different? ✅3. You cannot change the law retroactively to escape justice. When MPs changed the law in 2024 to say "this money is not taxable" and made it apply back to 2022, that was an attempt to cover their tracks. The law cannot be used like an umbrella to protect you from rain that already fell. The High Court correctly saw this as unfair and illegal. 🧠 THE TRUTH MPs want to eat their cake and have it too. They want the respect, the power, and the big money. But when it comes to paying tax like every other Kenyan, suddenly they are "not employees" and "it's for work". If you can own the asset, if you can sell it, if you benefit from it personally, then it is INCOME. And income must be taxed. The Court of Appeal should stand with justice. No one is above the law. Not even the ones who write it.

KRA is not playing with MPs. In 2022, each MP was given 7.5M to buy a car. - Use it for work and, - After the term, keep it or sell it. In 2023, KRA caught wind of it. And quickly fired a tax demand to Parliament of Ksh 1B. KRA argued: - Car grants are gains from employment - If MPs were not in office, they wouldn’t get them - Ordinary citizens do not get car grants - If MPs can keep or sell the cars at will, that is a direct gain - It must be taxed under PAYE. Parliament pushed back that: - Car grants are reimbursements for work transport. - MPs are not employees - So this is not taxable income When KRA persisted, the parliament ran to court. - The tribunal agreed with KRA arguments and demand 100%. Parliament saw danger. In December 2024, MPs enacted the tax law amendment bill. They quickly changed the income tax law to read. - MPs car grants are not taxable - Even if the MP owns the asset And they backdated it to apply from 2022. KRA still wanted their money. Parliament ran to high court. Arguing, - How can KRA tax something we have already declared non taxable retrospectively? In 2026, High court sided with KRA demand of 1B. Now the matter heads to the Court of Appeal. What do you think: - Are MPs employees? - Should their car grants be taxed?

On a strategic level, Rigathi Gachagua got a very good opportunity, and used it almost perfectly. First, he locked in the crowd. The chants, the energy… everything was aligned with him. That alone tells you who had control of the ground. Then he did something very interesting, the crowd was already going against William Ruto, but he calmed them down and told them to let him speak. That move alone changed the whole dynamic. It made him look like the one managing the situation… almost like the President had space because of him. After that, he didn’t go direct, he isolated the president occasionally hitting him slightly but went for those around him. He hit Kimani Ichung’wah using his own past statements, basically painting him as someone who talks big but doesn’t match reality. Then checked Kithure Kindiki with that “inheritance before burial” line, that wasn’t random, that was him stepping into an elder, more grounded role in front of the crowd. Even Moses Wetangula wasn’t spared, he questioned his authority as Speaker and how Parliament is being run. But the biggest move for me? Introducing his people for 2027 right there, in front of UDA leaders. That wasn’t just politics.... that was a statement: “I have my own structure, and it’s already forming.” Honestly, this wasn’t just a speech. It felt like someone positioning himself as a full political center. And whether people admit it or not, today's events definitely leaves questions in the mind of the Ruto and UDA. 🔥

For the first time in history of the Republic of Kenya an ordinary man who was pronounced as so in the national parliament and senate walked into a Presidential function, took over and introduced however and whoever he wanted. He lectured the President, told the MC of the moment(Governor Kiarie to sit down and lower his mzegi) as if not in a hurry he quiped "who is it? is it you Baddilisha standing behind me? kindly sit down it cant be two of us standing. He even had time to introduce sms sent to him by women and church Bishops more like paul writing or explaiming letters to the 7 churches. This ordinary villager even had the audacity to sing a song(just for his pleasure)! This same villager pulled some attack notes from his pockets to teach speaker of the national assembly standing orders then turned to where majority leader was sitted and told the president to tell majority leader he is not his Kihii Respect this man Gachagua!

Today, Ksh 500 million is “recovered” from the homes of Mohamed Liban, Daniel Kiptoo, Joe Sang, and Simon Wafula. Recovered. Not earned. Not declared. Recovered like stolen goods after a robbery. And you’re supposed to clap? This is not corruption anymore. This is a system. A culture. A feeding program for the connected. While Kenyans are rationing fuel, skipping meals, and watching their businesses collapse, these men are stacking cash in their living rooms like it’s pocket change. You talk about inflation they are immune. You talk about taxes they are the ones bleeding you dry. The truth is uglier than people want to admit. This is not random theft. This is coordinated plunder under the protection of power. Look at Daniel Kiptoo the regulator. The man who is supposed to protect Kenyans from exploitation in the energy sector. Instead, he’s allegedly buying land and houses in cash, in one go, no questions asked. Bags of money changing hands like it’s a movie. Real estate brokers being handed fortunes just to help stash stolen wealth. A whole G-Wagon as a “thank you”? That’s not generosity. That’s laundering. And then comes the most dangerous poison of all tribal entitlement. “It’s their time to eat.” That sentence alone explains everything rotten in this country. When leadership reduces governance to a feeding frenzy for “our people,” then theft becomes loyalty, corruption becomes pride, and accountability becomes betrayal. It stops being about Kenya. It becomes about extraction who can grab the most, the fastest, before the music stops. This is the system orbiting William Ruto. Not isolated scandals. Not a few bad apples. A network. A mindset. A regime where public office is a shortcut to obscene wealth. And here’s the heartbreaking part: every shilling found in those houses is stolen from somewhere real. From a mother who can’t afford medicine. From a graduate who can’t find a job. From a farmer crushed by fuel prices. From a child learning in a broken classroom. That Ksh 500 million is not just money. It is stolen dignity. Stolen opportunity. Stolen futures. And until Kenyans stop normalizing this madness until they reject this idea that power equals permission to loot this cycle will not end. Because right now, the message from the top is clear: Steal big. Protect your own. And call it leadership.

I have a dream that one day, Kenyans will judge leaders by the content of their character, not the tribe they come from.

@ibrahimhajjeda You understand nothing. Socialist ideology, often tied to the Luo community, is rooted in the belief that there’s enough for everyone within our borders. Capitalists think otherwise—and believe some people like Ibrahim from North Eastern region, should be seen, not heard.

HE Uhuru Kenyatta fired the then KPC MD Joe Sang over Ksh 1.9 billion Kisumu oil jetty project. HE Uhuru had him arrested and charged in court, but once Ruto took power, he ordered the ODPP to drop all charges against Sang citing political persecution by Uhuru since he was a Kalenjin like Ruto. Ruto hired him back and 3 years later, the same Sang is now caught up in a Ksh 4 billion fraud at the KPC. Forget the drama behind his resignation and arrest, which has happened days after Rigathi Gachagua swore to expose Ruto and corruption in KPC. He and the rest have been sacrificed to protect the real fraudster behind the 2018 Ksh 1.9 billion and the 2026 Ksh 4 billion. You and I know him and I'm certain that Rigathi Gachagua will expose him.
