After watching it a few more times myself I have to agree that she didn’t run them over because she was scared of them. I think she may have been trying to avoid the police we see walk from the parking lot. If she was drunk then she was trying to avoid a DUI. The kids on the clearly marked sidewalk were being antagonistic as well. Maybe she freaked out, maybe she thought they would move, but she was drunk. You can’t prove malice.

Also have learned she went there and was arguing with four people, everyone else was just bystanders on the sidewalk. She could’ve easily got herself out of that situation when she was going reverse, could’ve kept reversing out of the parking spot and just left the parking lot. I think they’re gonna change that second-degree charge to a first-degree charge before it is over.
