@ololralph I want to ask you, and I'm afraid that when I read the number, I'll work even harder on the game and sleep 2 hours a day. How much time did you spend on the demo, in days?
A month has passed since the game Steam page appeared. I didn't even notice it, development process is like a hypnosis, cycle that repeats, time feels like after abducted by aliens. We indiedev sit on all the chairs at the same time. I wonder, if big AAA teams feel the same? No
My VR Game is out now on Meta Quest! 🎉

I originally released it for PC VR in 2018, and I hope it gets a second life now 🙂

@GameOrDie007 Thanks! The game had to be optimized to run on a standalone headset. I have improved the gameplay / difficulty and also added a new level for this release.
@ololralph Looks really cool! I'm curious, what did you do for this release vs the PC one? Any big updates or mostly just getting updated to run on more modern hardware?
@ReinsPhoenix It was originally released on Steam. I'm currently updating the steam version with the new content, update should be ready in a couple of weeks.
@Jayson_Composer Thank you! From what I heard, it's a bit harder for small indie devs to get accepted and there is an upfront cost. But I'm still open to porting it to PSVR2!
@ololralph Discs of Tron! Kidding, but this looks great. Any chance of porting this to PSVR2 (even if you get help from an indie publisher?) - this would look outstanding on the OLED with those blacks and poppin’ colors! Congrats on the release. Hope it brings in some new fans!
@jobbidiar I'm open to PSVR2, but I have heard not every game is accepted and it's a bit more of a challenge for small developers since there is some upfront cost
@GreyAlien It also surprises me how low effort they usually are. It's like some shady random dude on facebook contacting me about buying some counterfeit merchandise in the back of a parking lot.
@BeanJuiceStudio Compared to other platforms I'd say no. Some games get viral attention, but those are the exception. X is ok for just networking with other devs :)
Question for game devs, is X effective for marketing your games?
It seems like a great place to network and connect with others, but does it actually help with sales and Wishlists?
Trying to level up my marketing but not sure what type of stuff to post on here lol
@galactic_gamee I haven't thought much about Kickstarter yet to be honest :) If I remember correctly, if you don't have a huge following it's quite hard to find supporters.
@DavidWehle The mountain of tasks to create a game can sometimes be super overwhelming. Over the years I have learned to pace myself more. "It's a marathon not a sprint". But sometimes I still forget that.
I worked 15 hours yesterday. I wasn't feeling good after that tbh. Some days I ask myself is all of this even worth it? Do players really care if a tarp flinging off an ATV looks janky, or if a record player has the right vinyl sleeve sounds. It's overwhelming and def not fun.
