@yieldsearcher The last ship to leave the strait pre-conflict arrived in port this week. That crude has to now be refined, and then transported to its end destination. Inventory data is a lagging indicator due to transit & processing time.

When the war started, the headlines were filled with gloom and doom such as Taiwan has 11 days of gas supply, EU jet fuel gonna run dry in couple months, etc. Now that we are 8 wks into the war, we have not had any major disruptions or shortages in supplies, just higher px. Inventory datas look fine too. So what is the missing piece?

"you need to see it to believe how bad it is" is the most succinct description of Azure's UI. Early last year, we completely altered a feature's architecture/capabilities because we were stuck in an access doom loop in the partner portal for 3-weeks with no support whatsoever.

.@satyanadella I am begging you. take 10 minutes and try to use azure microsoft is literally doing a disservice to mankind by putting this software into the world set up an Oauth app, try to build something in the ms ecosystem you need to see it to believe how bad it is

Oh myyy god… This took me like 2 hours to set up, it wasn’t easy, but it’s absolutely bananas. I can take my agent who’s fully trained on my business along on quotes with me. It listens and talks in my ear if I forgot to tell the customer something. It can pull up my entire database of Brushworks documents and tell me exactly what my account numbers are or the exact hours we did the last service. I had it logging visual machine inspections and logging new damage to FieldFix I was finally putting together the Blackstone grille my wife got me for Christmas and it told me I missed a part… You guys… this is INSANE. The power this has is far beyond what these guys are promoting. Imagine equipping your sales team with this and they can have live access to every tiny piece of information about your product / service and the agent is whispering in their ear the perfect response to every hesitation the customer has 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

To reiterate a few things so they don't get lost: 1. I never want to review another agent-produced plan again. Waste of my time, overwhelming, not worth it. It's valuable *to the agent*, but not to me. 2. I will burn all the tokens, run all the tests, do all the validations to make sure that when the work product lands on my desk, it's as good as the agents can make it. My time and energy is the most important thing here. 3. The feedback loop is critical: I'll work on the process, docs, and specs as much as I need to, in order to reap the benefits in future sessions. No more manual guidance via interactive sessions (with the exception of exploratory hacking).

My current agentic workflow is about 5x faster, better quality, I understand the system better, and I’m having fun again. My previous workflows have left me exhausted, overwhelmed, and feeling out of touch with the systems I was building. They also degraded quality too much. This is way better. I’m not ready to describe in detail. It’s still evolving a bit. But I’ll give you a high level here. I call this the Night Shift workflow.

Really enjoyed your perspective. A friend of a friend who works for one of the “big two” AI labs said that they still use all the traditional SaaS tools internally. Nothing is home grown/bespoke, and there’s been no push towards it. I’m not sure people realize how many have a vested interest in pitching the AI doomsday narrative. The AI labs obviously have incentive as the must justify their lofty valuations and cash burn. Social/traditional media voices have incentive because fear drives clicks and engagement. Beyond that, AI accounted for 20-25% of GDP growth in 2025. Everyone has a vested interest in this narrative.

The backlash over it not being rechargeable is ridiculous. The battery is designed to last for years. Even smart rings that are rechargeable aren't expected to last more than a few years. Not having to charge one more device is a feature, not a bug.
