Habari nzuri Woote? Mungu asifiwe (apoyo Rubanga, yebazibwe Katonda). Congratulations on the series of elections that we have been having ever since the 15th of January, 2026. These were: the Presidential, the Parliamentary, District Chairpersons, District Councillors, Sub-County Chairpersons and Sub-County Councillors. I, especially, congratulate our party, the NRM, for winning all those elections with big majorities. I also congratulate the other parties such as the DP, UPC, etc., that participated in the elections without using violence unlike the Party of NUP and some few elements of FDC, that were using violence. The parties under IPOD should clearly lay out agreed guidelines on the dos and don’ts of election management, according to the laws and the constitution of Uganda.

H.E. @KagutaMuseveni has highlighted the growing real estate boom in Uganda as a reflection of the country’s economic transformation and expanding domestic wealth creation. The President noted that many of the modern buildings, commercial structures, and real estate developments across the country have been established by Ugandans themselves, demonstrating the progress made through entrepreneurship, investment, and participation in the money economy. While acknowledging that poverty still exists among some sections of the population, he emphasized that there is also a growing class of wealthy Ugandans who have embraced the message of wealth creation, hard work, and enterprise. He reiterated the importance of continued investment in productive sectors of the economy to create more jobs, expand household incomes, and sustain national growth. #M7SwearsIn2026

Lazy broke people cannot understand how in just a few years a Speaker can acquire a 3 billion Rolls Royce, a RangeRover, and gift hubby a RangeRover too… unveil a palatial home, a teaching hospital, construct a stadium, build a multimillion structure on Mutungo hill, pay off a house in Nakasero, shop clothes from high end UK shops … Just work hard, you can also acquire that. We are a rich country, look for your own wealth. #UgandaParliamentExhibition

While y’all were paying your dues to capitalism by slaving away for cash to build our nation, the good folks at @PublicSquareEA were also doing their fair share of national service. They’ve unearthed this gem that will make Bukedea look like a joke. #UgandaParliamentExhibition

A man spends 50 years teaching at MIT. He knows his time is running out. So he records one last lecture — everything he knows, distilled into a single hour. He died 5 months later. This is that lecture. The most important hour you'll watch this week. 👇 Bookmark it for later

@BOU_Official @KigoziMaggie The requirements for a member of parliament ought to be revised because clearly we have a bunch of lunatics running our legislative arm of government and making tragic decisions & passing bad bills…enough is enough!!

"Chairman, a country without reserves is not sovereign. The potential of this Bill to destabilize Uganda’s balance of payments is our primary concern as a central bank. For example, last financial year the overall balance of payment surplus was USD 1.5 billion. That’s how we were able to increase our reserve coverage by USD 1.5 billion. Today as we speak our reserves are close to USD 6 billion. Why? Because these inflows have been coming in. The moment you tamper with these inflows here, we risk running down our reserves, and that is economic disaster for a country.” Governor Atingi-Ego on the Protection of Sovereignty Bill 2026 in an appearance before Parliament today.

BoU Governor (Economics PhD, Liverpool): Sovereignty Bill will affect our reserves, and lead to significant currency depreciation. A country without reserves isn’t sovereign. I see the NRM has deployed @job_matua & @TumukundeTT—who are economically illiterate—to defend the Bill.
