We are slowly turning @ugandamediacent into a fully fledged production hub. In a few months we will be able to create world class content. We have an open door policy for young people who’d like to get involved in telling a good Ugandan story.

I am writing this with a full heart. Having studied Law at @MakerereLaw and the Bar course at @LDC_Uganda, I wanted more beyond the confines of legal practice, I wanted to build the world I wished for.  I was fortunate to be admitted into @NotreDame on scholarship. Fast forward, over the weekend, I graduated with a Master of Science in Engineering, Science & Technology Entrepreneurship from the @NotreDame with a GPA of 3.84 out of 4.0. In addition, I completed two professional certifications at the @CFI_education: Financial Modeling & Valuation Analysis (FMVA), where I scored 100% in 3 exams and averaged 90% overall, and the Financial Planning & Wealth Management Professional (FPWMP)certification, where I scored 100% in 2 exams and averaged 94% overall. In a special way I'd like to thank @Maria_Nakalanda, @Uwihanganye_A, and my parents for the support and guidance they gave me throughout the course of my studies. You believed in me on the days I found it hard to believe in myself, and that made all the difference. To everyone who has been part of this journey in any way especially the @LeoAfricaInst network, thank you. I do not take any of it for granted. And yeah! Will be graduating from @LDC_Uganda next month with a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal studies too #GoIrish☘️

I am in Luweero at a burial of my maternal cousin who lost the battle to Pre-Eclampsia at only 23 years old leaving behind seven months old prematures. It’s painful losing mothers in the struggle to bring forth life. We should further our efforts to safe motherhood in Uganda.

Build a reputation for making the people around you more effective. That quality, the ability to lift a team, is what leaders are always looking for.

I've never seen a genuinely kind person fail. Help people out, share your experience, point them in the right direction, t's all about giving first. Never forget that.

Dr. John Omagino, Executive Director of the Uganda Heart Institute, has urged government to make physical exercise spaces mandatory in schools and public offices to curb rising cardiovascular diseases. About 36 percent of learners in Uganda are obese, putting them at higher risk of serious heart complications, Dr. Omagino said. UHI data shows 25 percent of CVD cases are linked to physical inactivity and poor diets, while alcohol accounts for 20 percent, and stress and smoking contribute 15 percent. Cardiovascular diseases remain among Uganda’s top killers, claiming more than 27,000 lives annually with a mortality rate of 223 deaths per 100,000 people. 📹David Walugembe #MonitorUpdates
