I literally had to lie and say I was trying for a baby to actually get my PCOS diagnosis even when I had explained ALL of my symptoms which are literally classic PCOS signals because unless I was trying to conceive, the doctor wouldn’t even do an ultrasound to check.

I'm not gonna lie, it is frustrating when you ask a patient what's wrong and they just give you a diagnosis. Like "I have a chest infection". OK, you're probably right but I need to know your symptoms to see if I agree with that diagnosis. I can't just take your word for it.

@MacabreSpillway Seriously. She’s convinced I have just endo and not PCOS. I’ve been scoped for endo twice! Girl you’re a GP and you’ve never seen my ultrasounds or examined me or dealt with my 41 day periods so why not defer to the OBGYN who literally publishes papers on PCOS AND endo 🙄

As a transfeminine person who actually does use her penis, I'm very much uncomfortable with the idea of "penis reminded lesbians of their oppressors".
