@stesscwbshat Oh. That would explain why she tapped the brim of my cap with her purse before getting up and repeating herself. I did say I didn't understand her.

@oniontaker I think she asked you if you are single, and she wants to drink with you. Could be wrong though.

Anybody speak Arabic? I'm in Egypt right now and a girl suddenly sat next to me and said "enta singo" and "hana shrub" or something. Does anyone know what that means. I think she was trying to sell me something but then she didn't seem to have anything. I am left very confused.

@cursedinternet @JosephKahn Welcome to Asia, especially CJK. We hate each other and like each other. Unless you're one of us, it is sometimes difficult to see where we may be united, and where we may be divided.

There's an uproar with Japanese Twitter about this Asian character. They feel she's a caricature, which she is, but not about Asians but Gen Z. Her outfit is actually very couture in a film about fashion. Her glasses and hair clips are of the moment. The body shape disparity comes from Anne Hathaway who mandated there would be "diversity of sizes" which could either be taken as genuine virtue signaling or an actress wanting to be the skinniest and tallest onscreen. Nevertheless, the Asian character is being depicted as a fashionable, striver in the fashion world with typical Gen Z neurodivergency. Nerds don't exist in Gen Z because they're all awkward freaks and all dress like Nintendo cartoons. Anyway Japan, welcome to America.

We are doing a 2-day trip in Korea to visit some iconic SNSD locations, and may bring a very small number of SONE with us on the journey. It would be in August of 2027, for the 20-year Anniversary of SNSD's Debut. We are giving two years' notice for people to plan flights etc.

@tempikmendoan same place as this actually, and it probably will get a full tear down and redesign within the next 10~20 years or so given what has happened in the surrounding neighborhood

@cielo_alonzo @asianjunkiecom K-Pop never brings much new to the table in terms of ingredients but the different recipes they cook up, or optimized recipes they put out are always appealing.

@asianjunkiecom U read my mind. Like if i want to listen to boring western music i tune in with western artist. The reason we listen to kpop is cause we want the wow kpop factor. Even newjeans' music whose music is mostly catered to western netizens still has kpop essence to it

Yeah, I dunno. People keep telling me it's normal to age out of it like my taste has drastically changed or something, but I still enjoy like "404" and "Rude" or whatever, they just don't make enough of them now? Eh.

@asianjunkiecom Pack it up. Both the most popular girl and boy kpop groups is super disappointing this year despite their long hiatus

@efbgtr @FunnyName68 @CackleTheory @OunkaOnX And yes, you can start defining "fair" and "unjust" how you like to make it not relevant to animal studies, but it is clear in academic record that proto-morality and capacity is observable. Human morality did not just appear in nihilo, and its primitive forms are observable.

@efbgtr @FunnyName68 @CackleTheory @OunkaOnX I was specific about there being common denominators due to how humans evolved and the biological constraints we have. You talk about cherry picking, but frankly I am talking generalities and you are literally cherry picking one unique civilization's few differences.

@efbgtr @FunnyName68 @CackleTheory @OunkaOnX For your question about determining 'logical conclusions', the answer is both. Logic is just a process and the conclusion is derived from w/e assumptions are made at the beginning of the process, axiomatic or otherwise. If both agree on assumptions, conclusion should be the same.

Her previous 4~5 years playing 20 years ago will definitely help but man, even if I'd had 5 years immediately before 8 months of prep, I'd be nervous as hell. After 5 years, yeah you can grind the fingering but the bow control doesn't come online by then for most people.

Csardas is a really expressive piece that leaves you very exposed. It's my favorite to perform on the violin. Seohyun has years of music experience but 5 months on the violin before debuting with that in public with a live performance is very ambitious. Hope it goes well🙏
