Rita Levi-Montalcini shares her beliefs about how, after death, we live on through the impact we have had on others. Levi-Montalcini lived to the age of 103. Now, she lives on through her work.
Levi-Montalcini was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1986 jointly with Stanley Cohen for their discoveries of growth factors. This provided us with a deeper understanding of medical problems like deformities, senile dementia, delayed wound healing and tumour diseases.
