@avispartan1 Look they don’t even claim to be communist. They say they are working towards communism, but are still firmly operating in the capitalist mode. I guess you could call that Marxism in a very orthodox sense, but why bother at that point

If you think China isn't Marxist you just haven't read Marx, full stop. The stuff they do is certainly very controversial, and it may prove itself wrong and fail, but all of it is rooted in a legitimate, rational interpretation of the theories of Marx and Lenin.

attributing china's success solely to the free market is wrong. but also the cheap abstraction of "good government" -plus Confucianism - is uselessly banal. marxism-leninism is crucial to china despite and because it is often ignored, neglected, honoured in the breach etc

in awe of this. I LOVE bad left wing memes and I’ve never seen this many themes of the genre jammed into a single jpeg. if you added something about how “there’s no such thing as unskilled labor,” it would complete. I just adore the concept of empires having an “average age.”
