You’re creating a false dichotomy by acting as if people must choose between caring about the victims or asking questions about privacy and child protection. You’re engaging in relative privation by suggesting that because a bigger tragedy occurred, other legitimate concerns should be ignored. People are capable of holding multiple thoughts at once. Demanding accountability for a fire and questioning surveillance of minors are not mutually exclusive.
