Niffy little idea on the tube. Pregnant women issued with a badge by @TfL proclaiming ‘baby on board’ Absolutely every time I see fellow commuters relinquish their seat. London has fallen

Instead of a thousand words. This is Kyiv's central square. Each flag represents a fallen Defender who protected Ukraine and Europe from Russia. Eternal memory and eternal glory to Ukrainian Heroes. 📷: kyiv_life_

@Motor_Sport @TheBishF1 Loved your interview article about Zak Brown in April’s edition of Motor Sport. A real insight into the man who slept on a blow up bed as a wanna be racer in Sheffield to him rebuilding McLaren F1 into a powerhouse that it is today.

@CraigEtherton @afneil @British_Airways My thoughts also. We had to pay £120 per seat to reserve our flights to and from Mexico City. So that’s a further £480 on top of our business class seat prices.

@campbellclaret @alanshearer Admired Scott Parker’s post match interviews of late but what a dignified one he did yesterday. Many managers would have used VAR as reason for the loss but not him. Instead he praised his players and they fight on. Would love to see that faith translate into PL safety.

Made the mistake of watching MotD - the more you see the two VAR decisions the more you worry technology is ruining so many parts of our life! Stealing childhood. Boosting crime. Ruining football. @alanshearer spot on. To take five minutes to decide a “clear and obvious error” is utterly ridiculous. Football is dying.

@EmiratesGBRSGP Those cats are beasts. You don’t appreciate their size until you get up close and personal. The wings are so tall. Best of luck TeamGB.

We know we have petrolheads from every generation at Goodwood, so we expect the answers to vary pretty wildly. There are no wrong answers here, what was your motoring catalyst? We're pretty sure when the legendary Castrol TOM's Supra flew up the #FOS Hill, many petrolheads were born.

@SilenceInPolish The sacrifices and contributions made by the Polish armed forces was not recognised. An insult to this proud nation who stood side by side with Britain and its allies.

The fact that there's no talk of the 80th anniversary of the Victory Parade of 1946 shows just what an odd little event it was. Anyway, here to chat Polish absence and British planning for a column of tanks progressing around Central London. And maybe Churchill's lion.

On the night of 9–10 February 1940, around 140,000 Polish civilians were deported into the depths of the Soviet Union. The forced deportations to “Nieludzka ziemia” (The Inhuman Land) had just begun. In total, up to 1.5 million Polish citizens, including more than 200,000 Polish prisoners of war, were deported by the NKVD from Soviet-occupied Poland to the Gulag system. These deportations occurred in four major waves between February 1940 and mid-June 1941. Many perished from starvation, exhaustion and disease under forced labour. Let us never forget them and their suffering [*] britishpoles.uk/deportation-of…

Can it really be 53 years since Emerson Fittipaldi won the first ever championship #F1 #BrazilGP, having returned to his home city of São Paulo as the first ever Brazilian F1 world champion? Yes, it happened #OnThisDay in ’73. Pic: Emmo’s black & gold Lotus 72D was a real beauty.

Building defence starts with learning from the past. During their visit to the UK, the National Defence Committee of @PLParliament explored the Polish Institute and Sikorski Museum's extensive collections and gained invaluable insights into 🇵🇱 history.

There will never be an opening ceremony that will top London 2012 The pride I have for Britain seeing this is unmatched - pandemonium is THE BEST segment in an opening ceremony - cannot be topped.

@TheBishF1 The fact that Emerson could have won his 2nd world championship had it not been for his boss changing his mind about Ronnie giving his place to him. That said Emerson’s move to McLaren in 74 resulted in him becoming champion that year.

#OnThisDay in ’73, in Argentina, world champion Emerson Fittipaldi kicked off the new #F1 season with a fine start to his title defence, beating the Tyrrells of François Cevert & Jackie Stewart & taking fastest lap en route. Pic: Emmo, Lotus 72D, dolloppo: what’s not to like?
